I too have played since the release. 30-40 rounds and 2-3000h or so .. Goditems is something i use nowadays when i do the regular (and boring) quests - to speed them up a bit. It is really no problem to NOT wear them when playing some new questmod for instance.
Its not that it ruins the game, as much as just tweaks the gameplay. I believe this mod is sent more toward those who have played over and over and want a character they can cause massacre on. Sometimes i make a mod myself that overpowers and destroys the world, putting dangerous foes in the earth that can also pick a part at the fabric on a cities construction just to fight. Its not that i want it as a main character to play, but just one that i can have fun when im bored on. But then again i have played since release.
