Looks like something Van Gog would have come up with in a drunken stupor, just before he cut off his ear. Which isn't a bad thing, actually.

Out of all the night sky mods I've tried, I always, always come back to this one. Of course it's not perfect (as no mod is), I just adore how ethereal and otherworldly it makes Cyrodiil feel. Thank you so much for making this!

Ditto to both of you guys. 2019 and I've just discovered a fantastically fun mod. A night sky mod that's fun? Who would've thought!?

I don't think I ever want to change sky mods or go back to..... vanilla [-:<
The colors lighting up the landscape at night just make such a fun difference!
    AND FOR A 2008 MOD? Freakin' amaz-za-zingggg
    !!!!!

For a 2008 mod, it fares well, but it is obvious that the skybox is just a really stretched out image, the stars and nebula look way too big, and low res

Hell no, if you still aren't happy with how this mod looks, I can only imagine how amazing it would look if you get it to be perfect to YOUR liking! I absolutely love the night and this mod has made it such an absolute pleasure to have my PC be outside after dark. Thank you so much!

Well first of all it's too low res. Secondly, it looks kinda warped and disproportionate and thirdly those glaring stars make you know that this is just a picture when you look at them, making it kinda immersion-breaking (and yes, I know all night sky mods are real pictures)...
      Good colours and shapes though.

Yep. It was. Installed a new weather mod which fixed the problem

It is possible that one of those mods might be overriding it. I am not familiar with how they work so I can not say for sure. If either of those mods esp were pointing the world space default sky to a different texture then that would override my texture.

The best way to test it would be to temporarily disable the esps related to those mods and see if the fantasy sky shows.

The file path is the one you described.

Im also running a natural weather + darker nights mod. Could this be over writing the effect? I installed your sky texture files last to over write any other sky textures.

    @ daveKD

most likely the files have been installed in the wrong location.

The file structure of the download is Data/Textures/Sky

It should be just a matter of pasting the data folder with its contents into the Oblivion folder.

On WinXp it would be C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion

On Win7 it might be something like C:/Games/Bethesda Softworks/Oblivion

On Steam it would be something like C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/common/Oblivion depending on which version on windows you are using.

If it is installed in the right location and still does not show up then you could try the Archive Invalidation utility in OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager)

For some reason its not showing up for me. Could this be a mod conflict?
