In Blender 2.49b the UV Face Select mode it's not present, i'm not able to make an edge a seam (press ALT while right-clicking an edge. It will turn orange when you do so.), even in edit mode. Workaround ?

as far as I understand it (being a blender noob myself)... - the former UV Face Select mode is now accessed by Edit Mode --> Textures - the results of the UV mapping can be seen in view Mode Texture Paint - Marking selected edges as seams is done with CTRL+e

Danke für das Tutorial, aber wäre es dir möglich eine deutsche Version davon hochzuladen? Ich habe schon von vielen gehört, dass sie nur Bahnhof verstehen. Wär schon wenn du das machen könntest.

TIP: Maybe you should upgrade some parts of the guide? For example they changed UV mapping to be in the Edit mode now. Don't see way but I guess people find it more convenient.
