About this mod

Reworked model and realistic texture for in-game ham.

Permissions and credits
Name: Better Meat - Hammy McHamham edition
Version: 1.0
Date: 6/17/2008
Category: Models and Textures
Recommended: Oblivion Mod Manager
Author(s): Tchos, Malo

Description
===========
"You call that 'ham'?" I said. Actually, it was Lady Li who said it, in response to my first attempt (paraphrased). The problem was that it's the exact same model as the regular steaks, and none of them had projected UV maps, only a generic wrap-around, so it was impossible to place the texture precisely. So, with the help of Malo on the German Ei-der-zeit forum in generating a new UV template and many frustrating hours in Blender first reshaping the mesh and then trying to make the collision model conform to it (Malo ended up doing the collision bit after several attempts on my part), I finally created this new texture which I consider a dramatic improvement over the ham of the vanilla game. If you like your tables to be laid out with something more appetising-looking, this mod may be for you! See also my "Cooked Steaks" mod for retextures of beef, mutton, venison, and boar. I may want to update the beef again now, using the knowledge I acquired in this latest endeavour.

2008-10-01 addendum: If you would prefer separate "cooked" items instead of replacing all the in-game originals, all my meats, my new strawberry cake and grilled fish steak, and several new items by other authors are now available in a snack bar mod here: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20105
