Here in the distant 2020, life sucks now and Oblivion is all that stops me going outside and getting the rona just to end it all slowly and horrifically. Nice mod, too. Underwater in Elder Scrolls games has always been trash because you can't F'ing see any of it.
Finished Enderal Forgotten Stories in 2020 and guess where I am back to in 2021? Thats right - OBLIVION, this time really delving into the Ayleid Steps mod : )
2023, been playing fallout 4 for the last few years.
Blew the dust off of oblivion, injected dope mods and such. Tes 4 is one of the best, most beautiful, awe-inspiring games ever made. I have been playing it off and on for 17 years and no game will ever top it.
2024! Also, abucket14, my men, did you saw what you started? Now everyone will coment until the end of the time... Because no one will ever stop playing oblivion
2025 now. Haven't played it since it first came out. Decided to replay again. I gotta say, nothin, and i mean NOTHING holds a candle to a well modded Oblivion. The diversity and freedom in this game are unmatched. I don't even wanna play all the modern play to win games that are just geared to make money off you. This is the flagship of all games. Viva Oblivion!
Almost a new game at this point !!! Looks Great !!! Nearly photorealistic. So much more than the console version. Not quite as good as skyrim modded to the hilt but it's evolving nicely ^^,
I've figured out how to get the same effect while in caves. If in "Water Type" -> "DungeonWater01" -> "Fog Distance - Far Plane" I set a larger number e.g. 7000 (default 700) it gets crystal clear water in caves.
Hello from late June, 2023! Thank you for this mod, downloading it now because I want to SEE AliveWaters and everything else below the waves and currently I can't see a slaughterfish that's actively attacking my face and have to use Detect Life in order to complete the simple little Rumare Slaughterfish quest (or guess and swing, for characters that aren't casters), and this annoys the everloving hell out of me.
This mod seems like an antidote for that annoyance, and I think I love you for it.
(weirdly, it's easier to see in cave water right now. I trust this is about to be fixed.)
I look forward to a whole new dimension of exploring unlocked by this mod! :D
In the over world this works, however inside dungeons such as Ayleid Cities there is no change and is as murky if not more! Does anyone know how to remedy this? I tried other mods that claim the same but seem to exclude dungeon water shader removal. As for INI modification instruction are impossible to find as most have been superseded by Skyrim even when you search in google, most of the time it comes up as Skyrim INI water settings that do not apply to Oblivion!

This game is god damn amazing. No shame in playing it in 2015.

In other words, it always was.
