You won't notice any difference for objects that were already placed in the Construction Set by Bethesda, unless they were stacked atop one another and therefore require a Havok settling process. This mod's collision mesh is closer to the book's visible mesh, which means it's smaller than the original collision. Thus, books that were sitting side-by-side on a shelf (and not overcrowded and leaping off it) previously had their invisible collisions touching, but now there is actually an air gap between the new collisions. That won't be visible in-game.
This mod will affect books that you, the player, place anew, or books that were leaning against each other or stacked atop each other, so that the physics model needs to move them in the game.
I didn't notice any difference when I installed the mod. I went into FIrst Edition and looked at the book shelves. All the books are still separated from each other.
Does this mean the mod is mostly valuable for people who want their own bookcases to look nice? Or does it mean I haven't installed it correctly (shouldn't be the case - I know what I am doing).
Or does it mean the main purpose of the mod is to stop books flying off the shelves? If so, that's a good enough reason to use it. I just want to be sure it's working. I never noticed them flying off the shelves in vanilla so I haven't been able to test that.
Just a heads up, but the next version will have compatibility Meshes for Book Jackets. I'm doing just the regular ones right now, but I may tweak Grimbot's SI Jackets as well. ">

Hope this helps to clarify.

Hadn't noticed there had been an update to the SI book jackets. Thanks for the heads up. ">
