Echoing other posts here, but the guy in the tavern seems to not like appearing, and the House Serentenin vamps go hostile when I enter, despite being told the one time the guy did appear that I was guaranteed safe passage. What's up with that?
I'm running this mod and its update (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42912/?) together with the "Vampire Hunting - Order of the Virtuous Blood" (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/30568/?) and the needed patch (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/32892/?) that makes both of them coexist peacefully: also I'm using the mod that makes the amazing StarX vampires death available to every other vampire out there (http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/27421/?) All load order is sorted by BOSS: until now, all seems fine and works as intended:
in previous play-through, I've finished the vanilla Order Of the Virtuous Blood quest (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_Order_of_the_Virtuous_Blood_%28quest%29) followed by the entire questline of the "Vampire Hunting - Order of the Virtuous Blood": this led me to the dungeons containing the Serentin Vampire house, of which I wasn't a member back then, and had to kill...
This time I wanted to know if StarX's mod works properly, so while dungeoncrawling, I got infected with Porphyric Hemophilia, turning me slowly into a vampire: I was craving for blood, but hadn't fed the first time yet: I went to the King and Queen Tavern in the IC Elvengarden District to talk to Aramgor: everybody in there was avoiding me and yelling to stay back: Aramgor was nowhere to be seen: It's only when having fed the first time, ones transition into a vampire seems to be complete: when I went back to that tavern, being fed, people were not avoiding me anymore and Aramgor was present: I could talk to him, he gave me the locations of the Serentin Vampire House, so indeed when I got there, I was welcomed and I became a full member of the clan. At this point, I still needed to do the vanilla "Order Of The Virtuous Blood" quest: according to the person that made the patch for both vampire mods to coexist, completing the vanilla quest is needed to trigger certain events in both vampire mods: in case of VH-OVB, that was obvious, in case of StarX's mod, that yet remained to be seen: once I became a full member of the Serentin vampire house, I was given information to visit certain vampire NPCs, but apart from that, no new quest(s) seem to be available: It's like, OK, you're a member now, so go and behave like a vampire, kill something or suck some blood, whatever ...
In order to complete the vanilla "Order Of the Virtous Blood" Quest, you need to be cured from Vampirism if you don't want Roland Jenseric to attack you when you enter his cabin and you want him to live. Even when you're cured, you keep the spells you've gained by becoming a member of the Serentin Vampire House.
After completing the vanilla OVB-quest, if you're waiting in the IC Elven Gardens district, you will indeed be approached by a dark Elven female, inviting you to join The Vampire Hunters that have a secret base in the Jerall Mountains. When you've joined them, it's pretty much the same as with the vampires: you can talk to the NPC's, buy goodies, you gain some spells, but that's about it: now go kill some vampires using your newly gained skills, tools & weapons.
The lacking of extra missions & story is somewhat disappointing, but nevertheless, what this mod does and adds to vampires and vampire hunting in general, is already very good:
If you want to have big fun hunting the vampires down, return to the Imperial City where the "Order Of The Virtuous Blood" resides (after killing Seridur), talk to Roland Jenseric and the main questline from "Vampire Hunting - Order of the Virtuous Blood" will start: you'll have lots of vampirehunting missions ahead of you ... before you'll meet the ultimate evil one ...
Hello, so, after becoming a vampire, being fed for the first time, I can meet Aramgor in the inn but he tells me nothing, impossible to join the house. I tested on almost a Vanilla game. Is there any other condition I have missed? Or it is not normal? I use StarX VVR 2.16 (updated version by WiS), OVB, StarW-OVB patch Thanks
i dont understand how to install this...(says it need resources from mirror?! but then it points you at this exact mod) if i download with manager there is major graphic glitch on every npc from this mod
Having the same problems as Kasadoll. New kickass vampires but not getting the invite after I'm done with the orders quest...I installed the mod after doing it though, do I have to have it installed before I do the quest?
