I think there are a couple comments below that talk about duplicating Guen upon fast travel. I only fast traveled with her once and sure enough, arrived with two panthers. I sent one back to the figurine and disabled the other with no problems. Now, I simply return her to the figurine before fast traveling.
On renaming, I just use the command console or change her name in the CS - but that doesn't help what seems to be your concern about differently named panthers for differing characters. Sorry can't help on that since I only play one elf.
However, I have a bug with it: the first time I travel with Guen out of figurine, the game spawns *second* Guen who travels with me like the original one does, but is permanent and doesn't go back into figurine when I command Guen to disappear. If killed, the second!Guen's corpse remains permenently there, and interracting with it bring out the naming menu *sweatdrops*
Not sure if anyone else experienced the same bug and/or if there are way to get around it? (I suppose "disable" command might help, but I don't like toying with this command too much.)
Another thing is that re-naming doesn't work as description seems to suggest: I can re-name Guen as many times as I like, but re-naming affect all games. Though I guess I may simply misunderstood the description.... Still, it would be nice to be able to name Guen differently in different save files.
Not sure if the author still indends to update this mod, but if she does, I would really appreciate if she addressed the "second Guen" bug. (Of course, unless it is a bug that is somehow unique to me.)
I’ve been using this mod for several months now. I love it and fully endorse it. I find Guen to be the perfect blend of companion and summon.
She can be called forth while riding a horse. Calling the panther also does not dispel invisibility. Both these features are very handy for my horse crazy mystic archer.
I have made the following tweaks to the mod for use in my game: Reduced the figurine’s weight / Reduced Guen’s size from 1.1 to 0.9 / Increased her ‘wander’ range when asked to wait / Given her whiskers / Removed the restriction on calling her from the figurine into combat.
Now - there's really no more reason NOT to play a dark elf with white hair!
Tried it, everything works fine (just avoid fast traveling when Guen is with you), looks/sounds pretty and feels great
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPOILER (don't read if you don't want to know exactly where the panther is): ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone who discovers this rather old but still working mod: To find the figurine, look at the uploaded picture of Vilverin (the Ayleid ruin right across the river when you exit the IC sewers for the first time), move to the position the player marker points to and take a close look at the table - the figurine is quite small.
Or - don't do it, forget that you've installed this mod, and cheer when you accidentally find this great treasure (This is what I would have done if I hadn't been so curious about the panther...) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks, as a fan I really enjoy summoning this beautiful black cat to my side and watching her glowy eyes disappear in the dark when giving her an attack command.
It's not a bad companion but not really for me. I prefer the sable panther that is also on nexus. It is still a great cat, as it is I still use the mod but only the figurine. Great decoration. Got my endorsement.

This should have more endorsements!
Now I'm gonna play a dunmer and name him Drizzt.
I love you for making this.
