Installed, got the discolored/blank screen bug; applied the grey screen fix, nothing happened. Uninstalled mod; nothing happened. Completely wiped game from computer's system and all associated files along with it. Reinstalled game; still discolored/blank.
Any fix for this, or can I just never play Oblivion again? XD
EDIT: After a more thorough system wipe I have my game back.
So I have the latest Pluggy and OBSE plug-ins. I am running my game through Mod Organizers. I've installed SE both through MO and directly into the oblivion/data files. When I use the "control matrix" the effects do not appear in game. I checked and the values in the ini file reflect what the matrix controls say in game but still does not affect the in game visuals. Have I missed something??
What are some people's settings that they have found to their liking? I enjoy a bright, colorful world - but I keep ending up with things overdone a bit.
well, I tried, but an hour and could not install this mod. Gives here "black screen" and if I put end to "fix" mod (the other mod cited below) the black screen disappears, however, the item does not appear. I made a mixture, except single item in my iventario and woe with the correction of modification, made the black screen: And the item in the hands (and now without the screen being black) perception matrix does not work with anything. And just with one other video card (weaker) this mod work .. oo (but I'm not but that the graphics card that is weaker at hand) ....

Hmm...would probably be best you ask Alanet (OR developer) or add a comment on OR, since I don't think there are many people watching this mod anymore.
Also am I able to save my own preset in any way? It's pretty damn tiring every time I load my save-game having to re-set my own settings... EDIT: Nvm I found the problem. All that it requires the .ini to be made to store the presets is to start a new game, save and then restart.
I only saw this now, after I was struggling with this for some time... Apparently this is needed to create and edit the ini: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/23979/?
This is only mentioned in the ScreenControls readme and not very strongly emphasized. Unfortunately, I can't try it out right now, but I will, soon.
The readme says that an .ini file will be created for you to tweak and save the presets, however I've looked in the save folder where it says it will be and there is nothing. Can anyone help me with this? I'm getting tired of having to reset to defaults every time I load up a save.
