Hello, The Stahlrim armor set in Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul (which appears to be based on your work?) caught my eye, as I've wanted for a long time to expand "Weapon Expansion Pack for Oblivion Nthusiasts (WEPON) to capture the full intended scope. That work would include:
Adding a Stahlrim "light armor" and weapon set
Adding an Adamant "heavy armor" and weapon set
Re-meshing the Orcish weapons, since they are just reskins of Iron weapons right now
Creating an "ultimate" lore-friendly heavy armor and weapon set, tentatively called "Chaotic", that blends elements of Daedric, Amber and Madness
Creating an "ultimate" lore-friendly light armor and weapon set, tentatively called "Aedric", that blends elements of Glass (or Daedric), Stahlrim and Adamant
My questions: 1) I understand you worked on the Stahlrim set. Would I have your permission to reuse it in future versions of WEPON, with attribution? 2) Are you aware of any of the above-described pieces already existing for Oblivion? 3) If not, would you have any interest in working on any of the above? I also tried to...so i'm probably gonna do the same. Hi I'm a new comer to the modding scene and haven't really published anything expcept a fix for a armor in Skyrim. However me and a friend (who understands the Modding engine better) had an idea for a mod we wanted to work on. In short its gonna be a series of mods to Overhaul Cyrodill to be more 'lore friendly' while still keeping the Vanilla feeling of Oblivion. The first mod in the series is gonna be a "Enemies/Looting" overhaul that would diversify the level list in Cyordill based on Regions instead of "le wilderness encounter". That means creatures like Minotaurs and Mountain Lions would be encountered in the Colovian high lands more likely. We also are planning on adding lore friendly creatures like Crocodiles in the Blackwood, "River Dragons" in the Niben and Snow Bears and Frost Trolls in Bruma.
However the reason i'm messaging you if for the other part of the mod. Inspired by the mod "Cultural Disparity" I wanted to overhaul the Bandits and a Maurader's loot list. That means that not just will the bandits and Mauraders no be broken again with dungeons filled with Glass wearing Bandits. But I also wanted to add a cultrual levled' list. That means "Colovian" Outlaws will wear more Roman-inspiried armor, while Nibanese have a "Asian" aestehthic to them. Because of this I wanted to ask if I may have Permission to use Assets from one of your mods.
I think your Skyrim Armors would fit perfectly with what I had in mind! The "Nordic" armor we'd like to reuse as a "Colovian" Oricalum armor inlcuding the weapons of that set. As for the other armors; one idea we have is to add a gang of Nord bandits in the Bruma/Jerall Mountains side of things; they would be part of a Nord Clan who has used the Oblivion crisis to try and raid the county Bruma. The Troll and Fur Armors would be perfect for that band of barbairans with their leader wearing a rare suit of Stalhrim! I understand if you'd rather not we use your mod in which case we'd have to look for someone else. But in the case we'd be allowed to use them we'd be very happy! We will ofcourse credit you and have your name on the page!
