Simply put one of the most useful mods for Oblivion. Sometimes when I'm exploring the wilderness I just forget to save manually, so when the game CTDs (which it does at least once a day...) I could lose so much of my explorations. With this mod I only have to backtrack my progress by five minutes, which is almost nothing when playing Oblivion.
i have no more ctds but i do have mods that make everything in the game do more dammage so now i can die of traps i died by an arrow trap and had to return to my latest quicksave because the game didnt auto save when i went inside the fortress and i have all autosave options toggled on so this mod is such a live saver
'I HIGHLY recommend that you download and use this brilliant utility along side this mod. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2937 ' link is broken, not leading to anywhere, what was it
if i turn off the autosave upon entering and exiting interiors, will it still work?
i'm going to download this to avoid some crashing that happens occasionally when i enter an area and the game crashes mid-autosave. this corrupts the file and i have to revert to my last save from whenever i quicksaved (rarely) or manual saved (next to never).
this sounds like a good solution. if it works, i will endorse.
Sweet i will give it a try theres alot of times i forget to save a game and when it crashs or i die i have to hope it auto saved not to long ago but Oblivion is big so this Auto 5 mins saver will be really nice
I want screenie of you autosaving.....JK. great mod, i keep on encountering areas where i die and have to start an entire dungeon over, gets annoying. this should help plus the added bonus of stability=10
@ LHammonds LOL "> Well I have seen a lot of mods with comments like 'no screenies no downloads', even when they clearly stated that they have no visual elements in the description. but now I guess that they can't complain. thank you ">
@ Adcap6 That CTD on save/autosave/quicksave bug, in my experience at least, only occurs when the game is so unstable as to be almost unplayable. Yes, I have had this happen, yes I have lost way to much game data to corrupted saves, but when it was happening I also found that I couldn't squeeze any more than about 5 to 10 min of game play out of the engine before it CTD'ed on me. Since I followed the install, mod, test, mod, test method, I have not had that problem. Additionally, if you use the incremental saver in conjunction with this mod, it will automatically back up your previous autosaves and or quicksaves so you will have spare copies in the event of a CTD causing corruption.
