NOTE: This file has undergone massive changes, and may not be entirely bug-free.
If you notice any bugs, please inform me and I will try by best to fix them
It is also HIGHLY recommended, if you have a previous version of AranMathi, that you take the following steps:

1. Collect all of your items & companions that may be inside AranMathi. Make sure you take everything.
2. Exit AranMathi, and save your game.
3. Exit Oblivion, start the launcher and disable AranMathi.
4. Enter your saved game, save again, and exit Oblivion once more.
5. Install the latest AranMathi, activate it in the launcher, and start up your game.
Viola! You should now have a fresh install of AranMathi.

To finish this note, please do not write any spoilers in the comments section, unless they are heavily loaded with spoiler warnings.

1. Description

The Original AranMathi can be found here:
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10424
However, it is not required.

AranMathi was once an elegant, beautiful castle fit for a king.
That was, until a powerful Necromancer decided to call it his lair. He transformed it into a sinister place of Dark Magic and death, and filled it with powerful Apparatuses, artifacts and followers.

But one day, AranMathi went quiet. The Necromancer disappeared, along with most of his followers. The items which remained inside were slowly pillaged and stolen by treasure hunters and bandits, but a foul smell which eminated from its depths kept them from staying too long.
As the smell grew, other Necromancers were drawn to it, but the absence of Undead left them fearful of what lay beneath it. Some were driven away in fear while other, more powerful necromancers were drawn to it's dark energies.

Can you unravel the mysteries of this ancient place? Would you dare to?

4. Version History (Minor Spoilers)
Note that not all changes may be listed here.

===
VERSION 1.05
===
1. Modified Training room, added a Combat trainer (see below) and removed the Goblin/Skeleton summon.
2. Fixed some minor things like more floating objects.
3. Turned an empty room into a small crypt. I intend on adding some history to this palce in later updates, with a little semi-quest you can complete.
4. Changed Around the Throne room slightly.
5. Removed some NPCs, was a little crowded before.
6. Guards are no longer merchants, as was intended. (Merchants can still be found in the Necromancer's Quaters)
7. Merchants can now only buy 5000 gold worth of items in one hit, instead of 50000 gold.
8. Added some new things to Private Quaters to give it more of a Evil feeling.

===
VERSION 1.06
===
1. Modified Exterior.
2. Added optional .esp's of AranMathi to download.
3. Changed Guard conversation options so you can't invest in their non-existant store.

To train using the Trainer, all you have to do is attack him. Beware, he is only 2 levels below you, and you cannot kill him by mortal means. (If you somehow manage to kill him, Don't worry. He will respawn in 3 game days)
To stop the combat, Yeild. This is done by holding block and activating them. NOTE: Sometimes this will not work, but keey trying yeild every now and then and he eventually will.
And if you're wondering, no, your bounty doesn't go up if you attack him. Just be warned - Lesser characters may be slaughtered by him.

===
VERSION 1.07
===
1. Added a Semi-Quest to give AranMathi just that little bit more background!
2. Completely changed AI Packages. NPC's don't just wander around aimlessly anymore. They actually have a life. (wow!)
3. Modified Lighting in the Alchemy Room - it didn't make sense to have very little light and for the plants to thrive.
4. Added Blood Wells & Magicka Fountains to the Training Room.

===
VERSION 1.08 - by far the most work I've done on this mod in a single update. There's a lot more than it seems.
===
1. added "Necromancer Armor", thanks to Alex2avs for letting me use it.
2. Added Oblivion-like furnishing system to AranMathi.
3. Made King of AranMathi stronger.
4. Made AranMathi Darker. Get the mod "Droppable lit torches" to light it yourself.
5. Implimented quest.
6. Removed Merchants. Barkeep, Alchemist & Mage NPC's can buy & sell specific items, and will train 3 different skills to journeyman (50). Any higher & I think it is unbalancing.
7. Clicked for hours on end to set up parents (Alchemy area was the worst) but finally got the parent system going.
8. Fixed multiple problems.
9. Added scripts for many different things.
10. Fixed multiple instances where Companions would run around in circles.
11. Added spellcrafting & enchanting to the NPC in Mage Area.
12. Modified Minion System
13. Made AranMathi much more evil looking

===
VERSION 1.09
===
1. Added "Evil" status to AranMathi occupants for compatibility with a Lich Mod
2. Removed buggy corpse from the Vault
3. Removed useless buttons from the Training Room.

===
VERSION 1.10
===
1. Fixed a possible bug with the Wander Package that I noticed while looking over the mod.

===
VERSION 1.11
===
1. Fixed a bug where Shady Sam attacks the player on sight. This will hopefully fix the problem people have had with Sam not selling the AranMathi items. Let me know if you run into any trouble!

5. F.A.Q:

Q. Why can't I buy the stuff for the Mage and the Alchemy areas?
A. You can. First you must buy the Dining Area, which contains the Food and Beds required for the NPC's inside the Mage and Alchemy areas. Shady Sam will then sell you both areas.

Q. Do I have to remove everything from the last AranMathi installation in order to install the new?
A. No. All files contained in the old AranMathi are contained within the new, so the old files will be overwritten.

Q. I keep getting owned by the Creatures in this mod! Help me!
A. Level up your character. This mod is meant to be difficult to complete 100%.

Q. I've heard about some sort of quest. Is this the quest you get when you first enable the mod, or what?
A. There is something separate to the quest you get when you first enable the mod. It has no quest entries or markers, you'll have to figure it out on your own. Experienced gamers shouldn't have much trouble with it, but it can be very difficult for people who aren't as experienced with the game.

Q. I can't find where this quest you're talking about is!
A. Here's a tip: There's a secret passageway next to the Training Room.

Q. I've bought everything for AranMathi. What now?
A. Just wait. There's more than what you buy.

Q. The place is too dark! Can you change that?
A. No, but I will tell you how to change it yourself. Download Droppable Lit Torches Sandman (on google) and Decorator Assistant (on Nexus). They'll help you light up the place to your own tastes. You can also get Reznod's Mannequins and equip them with torches along with your favorite armor!

Q. What's some other mods that go well with this mod?
A. Look up Moriarcis - City of the Dead, and Pats Spellpack Mod

Q. Should I rate the mod?
A. Definitely. If you think it is bad then don't bother - you probably don't know what it took to do what I've done to this mod.

Q. What kind of a level should my character be to finish this mod?
A. That's a hard question. It depends on your difficulty slider, equipment and your character's abilities. I would personally say you would need to be at the very least level 20. Note that this mod is best played wiith the difficulty slider at around 45%.

Q. How do I use the Trainer?
A. Just attack him. Yield (Block + space) to stop him. Sometimes you might need to keep yielding every few seconds or so for him to stop.

Q. I'd like to see something added to this mod.
A. I'd like to hear it.

Q. So I finished the Semi-quest and got a couple of alright items... Is that it? And what's with this book?
A. I think you'll find one of those items is much more powerful than you thought...

6. Credits

Firstly, I'd like to thank Anakondrak for making such a great mod for me to mod.

Thanks to all the people out there who gave, and will give my mod a high rating.

I'd also like to thank Alex2avs for allowing me to use his awesome Necromancer Armor.

In addition, Varen for helping me with ideas and support.

And last but not least, I'd like to thank Bethesda for creating such a great game. Well... Aside from the crashes.

7. Bugs

- I've noticed, while testing, that a lot of items fall through the floor. I can't stop this, but what you can do is open up the console (~ key) and type "tcl" without the quotes. Zoom down and grab the item, zoom back up and do the same again. The Necromancer Queen's shield fell through the floor on two occasions for me.
- This version of AranMathi has been heavily modified. It may not be entirely bug-free, so if you notice one that has not been listed or fixed, please let me know.
===
KNOWN SOLUTIONS TO BUGS
===
1. Experiment with the load order. You can use Oblivion Mod Manager to do this; many times I've had people ask me what is wrong when it was simply the order in which the mod was loaded.

8. Other Mods
Here are some mods which go well with AranMathi Necromancer Lair. Most can be found here on the Nexus, but others you might have to google.

- Pat's Spellpack Mod
- Decorator Assistant
- Drop Lit Torches (the one I use is by Sandman, but there might be other decent ones)
- Moriarcis - City of the Dead
- Reznod's Mannequins (you can also equip them with a torch to help light up the place. Thanks to fenrisredwolf for this idea)
