The fix was made by Pherim (give him a kudos), who says:
"I haven't tested it, though. For some reason now it only is 30kb instead of 205kb, but I was wondering why it was so large before.
Anyway, I hope it works. I don't know that much about Oblivion meshes, to be honest, so I don't know exactly what was wrong with it, but it appears that the creator simply copied a complete nif into another, which resulted in two BSXFlags and bhkCollisionObjects, and that might be problematic... Anyway, the pillow does not have collision now, but I doubt that will be a problem. "
It is very likely that this link is not going to work any more, soon, because Dropbox is removing the "Public" folder. I'll try to provide working links for the files I have in there once it is gone, though.
Wow. This retreat is so detailed and filled with unique features. I love the moving water pictures and the fountain room is simply amazing. Lots storage and the amenities including the somewhat scary bathroom attendant statue *hehe* makes you feel like you are staying at a 5 star hotel!
The solutions for CTD suggested by AltheaR below seemed to work for me. I just used the first one, and disabled the bench using console command. Thanks AltheaR
I did nothing with the mod :/ I normally exited my game, and launched it tomorrow, and it was gone... I can't load an old save because I did few long quests in Shivering Isles, but I will load and see what I had, then use console to return the most needed ones ^^
@Archaonus Oh, take it easy. Didn't you deactivate the Mist Retreat and save the game? After once deactivating and saving, you will not regain your treasures... The Mist Retreat's containers are all safe, not respawning. I hope you keep some old save files to recover your items.
I've put ALL my loot inside, tons of gems, items i collected,... I've put it all around the mist retreat...then I went to shivering isles, stayed there for a while, collected some items, decided to go back and store them, but EVERYTHING in the mist retreat was gone...GONE, not even a single item was there!
I think that I find several solution of "enter re-enter crashing".
solution 1 (Easiest one) If you enter The Mist Retreat for the first time, run for the Harpsichord, open console, and disable "Bench". It is the Harpsichord's bench.
solution 2 Remove a furniture "1harpsichordbench" in CS or Tes4Edit.
solution 3 (the BEST solution) Fix the mesh "bwharpbenchpillowFIN.nif" in Nifskope. It has 74 NiNode as children of 0 NiNode, I think it caused CTD. It's difficult for me to explain the fixing process in English...so I uploaded a screenshot.
This house mod is really, REALLY great, MASTERPIECE. I love the Mist Retreat so much, and now, I live in this place forever...without crashing!
I also crash. It appears to happen if I leave clutter around the structure. If I keep the area completely free of clutter and put everything into the containers the mod runs fine. The instant I leave anything lying around I can't enter the Mist Retreat without a crash.
