Brilliant castle design, with innovative architecture and phenomenal textures (that "harem" room is just jaw-droppingly awesome -- I added a portal directly to it, and now it is my "master bedroom"!).
The 188MB+28MB downloads for this mod are worth it -- mjy has put in extraordinary efforts into these textures, meshes and design layouts, and it would be a shame if you didn't try this mod at least once. You would never believe something like this is possible in Oblivion!
It is like visiting the Louvre museum -- I spent quite a lot of time, just admiring all those fabulous paintings and intricate architecture details!
For anyone who is struggling to find this castle, just fast-travel to Gnoll Mountain (east of Bruma), climb up the path to the top of the mountain. You will see a rope bridge. The Nibenay Castle is just beyond the bridge, but due to distant LOD limitations, it may not be visible from the top of the mountain. Just cross the rope bridge, and the castle will magically appear out of thin air. :-)
There is a conflict between this mod and the "Werewolves Legends" mod, as this castle chops off the Lair from that mod. Since there seems to be a conflict with the "Verona House Bloodlines" mod too, I request mjy to relocate this castle a little bit sideways/further into the mountains.
For all its beauty, the castle is somewhat empty of life; a few more NPCs and some quests would add a lot of verve to it. Also, the courtyard is quite roomy (like the Hoarfrost castle mod), so if a gate can be added, it would be useful to stable the horses/mounts.
Great job on this mod. I love the unique architectures that are present in this castle. It certainly stands out from the other home mods. I sometimes get slowing outside due to all the textures being displayed, but that could just be my computer. Anyway, kudos to you.
I had this running but took it down because of frame rate issues. And I'm not really a framerate type of player. This mod appeared to have Moorowwind and ES IV textures mixed in together. i liked the scale and level of luxury in the rooms but for me the performace hit was extreme. Also the choice of location was odd. Why place a large new construct over the top of an existing one? This sometimes causes other quest lines to fail.
