yes wat others say is true, shure its cool and dam usefull but can you make spells to that do "remove all red portals" (blue, green you get the picture) also! black hole idee! make one intire black (or realy dark) and give it a "suck" effect, a time limmit (that it wont stick around forever) and a effect that protects the player from being sucked in to it. it sould be a portal that leads to a other dimention (lets say hawkhaven in the empty part in the back) with 2 rules, 1 open a protal in any map courses it to replace every hit character to hawkhaven, 2 open a protal in hawkhaven sends the characters that get swollowed to the last place the player opened the portal spell. (just aksing becours nobody seems to be making a "working" black hole spell and your good on your way with portals so..... please? XP)
Finally someone who has an imagination parallel my own. I'm into portals, black holes, teleportation and generaly being anywhere whenever, anytime, anyplace, in the past or in the future.
Is this similar to the portals in the Portal video game series where you can use them to get to hard to reach places ,travel far distances faster, launch cores into space, or shoot missiles at giant robots that used to be people?
to bad that NPC's dont use it i hoped that it would because of something which i really want to do but on the other hand it makes it easier to escape when i accidently killed someone again or when they chase me because i just happen to be somone who has aquired the "dark gift"
Any chance of adding an additional spell to the player to delete/disable the portals? Like an on-target effect spell that, when cast, deletes only the portal it was cast at & nothing else?
Some way to make the console method of deleting them into a spell basically, and making them somewhat smaller (or in a different form) would be helpful too.
Very nicely implemented mod. Nice visuals, and far more importantly, unlike so many other mods, it actually delivers precisely what the author says it does.
My only complaint, and it is merely a taste thing, is that the portals clip into the ground. I am not an expert on doing this stuff, so I have to ask: is there a way to keep the center where it is and shrink the portal, or maybe raise the portal to not clip?
I remember I've tried to keep the center where it was when you cast it, did I fail?
I also have a question regarding the portals themselves: are they 'activators' or 'doors'? I tried to have some fun by luring a guard through into the DB Sanctuary, but he didn't come through after me.
They're doors but in Oblivion the doors won't work after being moved away from where they were. So NPC won't use these portals in this mod.
We have the same idea, but I'm lazy and not sure if it's useful. I was just waiting for someone asking. Since you've requested, I'll make a new version for you.

The idea of this mod came up when I was making Town Portal from Diablo for another mod of mine, Horadric Cube. I thought Town Portal would be useful and we had ready portals in Oblivion. But I didn't figure out where the portal was in Oblivion data file. With more modding experience, now I know how to use it in my mod.
In Diablo series, you don't have to indicate where a portal goes when you open it. There's only one town in each act in Diablo 2. But there are a lot of cities and towns in Oblivion. Moreover, you could have more towns in your game with mods. So apparently, allowing the users to position both portals is a simple and convenient solution.
I didn't name this mod as Town Portal because it's not Town Portal. I didn't think of Portal made by Valve when I named this mod, either. Sorry for having misled you.

I don't mind this behaviour but visually its intrusive. Can they at least shrink/disappear based on my proximity?

Thanks man, that would be way cool
