I am having an absolutely horrible time with Sonia jumping into combat with her fists... all her gear respawned including her bow.... when she kinda fights properly she ignored my orders for her to be close combat, and then I told her to use her bow... but she keeps unequiping her weapons and jumping in with her fists... her combat AI is the absolute most moronic AI I have ever seen in a companion.... why would you totally unequip a weapon... not holster... UNEQUIP... so she is not ready for combat when the fighting starts
So after trying both SONIA mods the other mod works better for fighting because she has spells... but the other mod doesn't have any quests and has way more broken gear.... can I get a version of this mod where all the script for her to change back into her civilian gear is removed.... I don't know why you chose to make her change gear back to civilian unequiping her weapons and going back to her dress but that whole script is super annoying every 2 cell changes she puts her weapon back In her inventory and in the other mod she takes her light armor off and puts her dress on.... she just needs to stay ready for combat all the time like a normal companion... I know it might not be as Immersive but going through a dungeon moving between cells and having her change clothes without me noticing she's not ready to fight until I open dialog then tell her to get ready for combat.. I had to tell her to get ready for combat 5 times in an oblivion gate... whatever immersion you were trying to achieve with this feature is an absolute failure... and it's a double failure in this mod because she only has 1 outfit and no spells... which means in this mod all she does is unequip her weapon and go into a fight unarmed with her fists.... also in both mods she is a respawn container so you can't give her new weapons and armor or ask her to carry... and she stuff if too good and easy to sell for gold.... kind of broken....
If I don't get a response I will open the construction set my self and delete script if you are Totally dead and cold to respond I might post a Sonia III and if you have a problem later on and don't give me permission I will take it down
So I took her bow off her and told her to only do close combat... she is constantly unequiping her sword and fighting with her fists... I have to constantly tell her to equip her weapon and follow me"... how do I make her ALWAYS HAVE HER SWORD EQUIPPED?... ABSOLUTELY infuriating that she removes her weapon all the time... each time we switch cells she goes to her fists.... is anyone paying attention to this mod? And can help... if not I will try and alter the code my self
I started up oblivion again after I guess a few years off, and I've found Sonia doesn't handle oblivion gates well, as she seems to completely reset to default upon exiting an oblivion gate. this has happened several times in this playthrough, and i'm pretty tired of refilling the 60,000 drakes worth of gear every single time.
I gave this mod a try and I would have to suggest consideration against using it, or that it should be updated first. After recruiting Red Sonia, in the first hour, Red Sonia managed to start several fights with guards, civilians and my other companions. It would appear that when a situation with combat occurs, she cannot discern NPCs from enemy NPCs, so that when the enemies are dead, she continues going after nearby guards or civilians. As for other companions, i'll just let that slide and blame Ruin for sending lighting strikes into her back.
There is another second slight nuisance. After changing cells, like exiting an interior or exterior, she insists on unequipping her two hand sword. Instead, i will spot her attacking with hand-to-hand in combat, so you need to ask her to follow me and equip your weapons.
That being said, it is far to frequent an occurance to ask, "where's Sonia?" only to hear the sounds of combat nearby and her engaged in a duel with an NPC or a guard. Sadly, I uninstalled it after two days. I grew tired of second chances and using the console to resurrect unfairly killed NPCs.
I had much the same problems.....but free varla stones are hard to pass up.... I stopped the companion fighting with "Ring of Companionship" http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/18461/? As for the rest, I fixed up a nice home for her and just summon as needed.....
I have to say... This is quite a sexy Companion I must admit, nice work. I did everything right and she's now my companion, quick question though, there are those out there that wish to find all 4 volumes of the G&G books, where can we find them? I ask because I collected only volumes III and IV by sheer coincidence and now it's saying that I have found all volumes of the G&G books, can you please help tell me where the other two are? I read the description about the first book being on Sonia but where are the others? Please help me...
Ah, I see.Thanks so much, really. ^^I don't think I could've got the quest markers now anyways since, like I said before, by getting volumes III and IV by sheer coincidence (most likely while I was dungeon-diving when doing the 10 Ayleid Statue quest for Umbacano and now it says the quest is "Completed" since I got the IV volume even though I have yet to get I and II so again, thanks so much, really. ^-^
HI, I been using Sonia for some time,but lately when we sleep together( I have see you sleep), when I get up and click on Sonia, she gets up normally but when I go to access her inventory I get a freeze screen and I have to close the game. This only happens if I save the game with us sleeping together, exit the game and restart it. Any suggestions?
Try reinstalling the mod. maybe there is corruption in the script that undresses her when she goes to bed and dresses her when she gets up.
Maybe there is a mod conflict affecting her scripts. Are you running another version of one of the Sonia mods?
"save the game with us sleeping together," this seems to indicate that you are using some mod like "See you Sleep", maybe a conflict and maybe avoid saving while sleeping with her.
Yeah, I am running the mod(see you sleep) so when we are in bed together I go into the third person mode and can see us sleeping together, but it works with the many other follower mods I am using ( Vilja, Neeshka, Rhianna, Viconia, and Kat from the mod "Heart Of The Dead"). Undress and Dress no freezes when accessing there inventory. I have that Sonia makeover, but I deactivated it, and get the same results. I also deactivated Red Sonia and reactivated it with the same results. Must be the (See You Sleep)mod. I'll save the game prier to entering the bed with Sonia and see if that works. Or if you are not using quest arrows, you can look at the Quest Targets tab in the CS and see cells: Rielle, Fanacas, and Sedor.
