how did you get your glass armor to be a darker green? I've noticed throughout a few computers the red in the daedric armor changes from a waxy looking red to a slightly metallic and reflective red on my current comp,(which I can run the game at full settings with) but the glass remains the bright green ugly crap. Is it a mod or does it have something to do with the computer?
wow... you truly deserve my congratulations, i mean, please!... when i grow up, i really really want to be just like you, you amaze me in such a degree i just cant even start to explain.
The fact that i can't see a difference no matter how much i look at it, shows how high is your power of observation, not to mention the sheer dededication you put into something that 90% of people won't even notice at all! it is just... amazing!
Ah, inappropriate and uncalled for sarcasm. And completely wrong. Reflection maps are far from subtle if you've tried different maps. There's definitely a noticeable difference when looking at windows, reflective armor, silver and gold clutter, and all glass clutter; bottles, alembics, retorts, hourglasses, etc.
There are several mods that this mod has a fairly pronounced effect on.
For people who rely on the Posts section when making a mod decision, there are a small handful of choices:
This mod - 12866 Better Window Reflection - 46774 Better Window Environmental Map - 46895 The Serenity for Oblivion (The reflective map is in the Optional Files section) - 47080
This map is a bit different in that it's a color map.
You cannot see the effect in a screen shot as it relies on motion and changing viewing angles.
This mod is fairly pronounced and creates a strong effect when compared to the other window environment maps. (Think extra-shiny and reflective.) This effect is great for windows, but a bit overpowered for the Better Silverware and Goldware - 27825 mod and for the vanilla alchemy apparatus.
However, it is indeed awesomesauce when it comes to reflective armors and Ice Layer with Effects - 47441.
It comes down to personal preference. I personally like optional reflective map included as an option file with The Serenity for Oblivion - 47080. However, this mod... The windows and reflective armor look badass. Especially the Reflective Armors - 46909 mod. However, the author of Reflective Armors - 46909 and Better Window Enviromental Map - 46895 are the same author and one would assume that those two mods are designed to work together.
In the end it's all personal preference. But this is an effect that 90% of users will definitely notice even if they don't realize that it's the windowenvironmentmap01.dds and reflection.dds creating the effect.
Either the 4 before and after screenshots uploaded by users have been mixed up or I don't know what this mod is supposed to do. The before shots looks like they are reflecting the image of a tree while the after shots looks just plain blue. I'm going to assume the uploader of those sceenshots got it backwards and download this mod anyway.
Its interesting, it doesn't look bad, and it doesn't even drops 1 fps.
Though it is so slight, I'd never notice the difference in game, in fact I can barely see it now. The very fact that the areas need to be highlighted to become clear proves how little is changed.
It's a cool tweak, but probably not worth the time it takes to download and install.
Of course, thats all said assuming that the improvement on other objects is as minimal as that glass shield.
I've tried several times to upload screenshots with little luck, I'll try and upload a few for the third time or so, but there are some on the Canadian Ice forums for the time being.

If anyone else stumbles across this with the same question, the dark glass armor is a mod:
Dark Green Glass Armor - 2996
The mod comes with an .esp, but with a little re-arranging of the file structure, you can use it as a replacer (esp-less).
It's a classic mod.

Yes it is subtle, but cool nonetheless.
Thanks Author!
There are seems in the texture, as you turn you can see a definate line where the edges of the texture meet.
While it is good work for a start, can we get higher resolution reflection mapps as it looks quite blocky.
Other than that its a good start but needs work.
