I'm having trouble extracting both the DDS and the Normal Maps plugin files. I open them on 7-Zip, and click extract, and set the file location to C:\Program Files (x86)\GIMPshop\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins. Then it tells me it cannot open the folder. What am I doing wrong?

EXCELLENT! This is a great "All in one" download location. Thank you for putting this here.

No apology necessary...ALL of us run across this problem at one time or another...even old eyes "think" we are seeing 512x512 but is actually 513x513.

It means exactly what it says. DirectX "DDS" format has to be saved in a power of 2....such as 256x256, 512x1024, etc.

If the dimensions of your image is something like 501x1140, it won't work.

    Helloo LHammonds,
I keep getting this message when I try to save Dalmatian spots as a dds.

DDS: Cannot compress non power-of-2 sized images.
Saved image will not be compressed.

is this because the spots are differant sizes?
or is there a fix for this message

    Thanks

Just starting out modeling. Apparently this is needed to create the textures. You wouldn't believe the amount of stuff i've had to download... Python 2.6, PyFFI, Blender, Blender NifScripts, Nifskope and a BSA unpacker. And now this.

Do I have to download all 4 files? I already have GIMP but CSwiki says I also need the ssociated DDS export plugin. The link for that on their site does not work.

EDIT: Ah never mind, got it now. I just neeeded the DDS Plugin part for my standard GIMP 2.0

Wow does anything work right on vista
Yes, but mostly programs that were designed for Vista.

does this effect windows 7 2?
Any vista-related problems that exist with this program will likely exist in Windows 7.

When you allready have a Gimp 2.x installation,
Gimpshop will install there and fail to find the
    dds and normal map plugins

After installing both Gimpshop and the plugins it into
another location GimpShop found the plugins <img class=">
