I nabbed the cross earring, no ears, for a private armor mashup by deleting all the other vertices besides the cross and placing them where I needed them... But I can't seem to get them to show up in game. I got the textures pathed and renamed correctly...I'm not sure what the issue is. If anyone happens upon this comment and replies, thanks!
I'm playing a default race (wood elf) and am a little confused about how to add them to my character. The instructions seem to be aimed at custom races.
Edit: Okay, had to rename the CSset I chose to 'earswoodelf' and it worked. The ears really do look great, but the skin contrast is sadly too noticable to ignore. Would be perfect if these ears worked with texture mods.
I downloaded the mod but cannot find the ears anywhere...where do I buy them? My elf of lineage has a pink body and dark green ears and i am hoping this will change the ear color. thanks
I found out how to make these work for me in the CS.
You chose the mesh files from the set that you want, but You do not use the enclosed dds files. You use the ear dds files for the race that you are altering, & THAT may give you the color of ears that you want.
I am not sure it will always work, but it did this time on a race that has human ears I was attaching an elf ear too. If that works, then it may work for everyone.
Thank you Kafeid for sharing these. I have missed elf ears on other race mods.
They're green? They're not automatic? Nyah... not easily applied to custom races is understandable, but if they're not automatically added to vanilla oblivion, especially NPC dunmer, then I think I'll pass, customising oblivion is difficult enough. There's FCOM, Wrye Bash, Bashed Patch, my own list of mods, compatibility, studying up, downloading, organising files, etc....
Sorry, I'm a bit busy, I'll pass on this one. But it looked really, really good.
