Description
This is a template for creating Oblivion mods to be distributed in executable (EXE) form using ClickTeam's FREE Install Creator program.

NOTE #1: This is not a recommended practice for distributing your mods. I recommend distributing mods as OMOD-Ready archives. This should only be done as an alternative for those players that cannot install your mod any other way due to technical difficulties or other "issues."

NOTE #2: People are naturally leery of .exe files for fear of them containing viruses. It might be a good idea to include an MD5 to ensure the .exe has not been tampered. See this mod as an example: WindowCapture Utility by LHammonds

Install
1. Extract to C:\

Uninstall
1. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.

C:\MyMod\

How To Use
Assumptions:
- I assume you already installed the FREE version of the Install Creator.
- I assume you already created a normal archive, an OMOD-Ready archive or an OMOD of your mod and made it available since this method is only an alternative.

1. Delete any files in C:\MyMod\SetupFiles\Data\
2. Copy your mods files to C:\MyMod\SetupFiles\Data\
3. OPTIONAL: Replace C:\MyMod\OblivionBackground.bmp with an image of your choice (such as one from my Extra Background Pack)
4. Double-click C:\MyMod\Project_Template.iit
5. Click the Close button on the Warning screen.
6. You mod's files should show up in the Files Tab.
7. Click the Wizard Texts Tab.
8. Change the "Replace #title macro by" field from "MyMod" to the name of your mod.
9. Select the "Information" page on the left scroll window.
10. Double-click the 3rd line down which should say "Name MyMod" and replace that text with the contents from your Readme file and click the OK button.
11. Select the "License" page on the left scroll window.
12. Double-click the 4th line down which should say "You can do whatever" and replace that text with the License/Legal text from your readme file and click the OK button.
13. Click the Window Tab.
14. On the Background Sub-Tab, change the Text field from "MyMod" to the name of your mod.
15. Click the toolbar button called "Test" and make sure everything looks correct. It will not actually install anything during this test.
16. Once you have tweaked your settings, go to the menu bar and click File, Save As and type the name of your mod. Don't worry about the .iit extension, it will automatically append it.
17. Click the toolbar button called "Build" and type the name of your mod and make sure it ends with .exe
18. You are now ready to double-click your new exe and see if it installs correctly.
