I was thinking about alternates to telling Jauffre 'the King's last words'.. this is better options for the Alternative Start arrival by ship: - Tell Jauffre about your Dream - Uriel Septim himself asked me to take this to you.
Also for the Emperor asking you to find his son, other options include:
- In the dream, the Emperor asked me to find his son. - The King said he has another son.
Also, should the King be more specific in the dream than 'Chorrol'? Surely the King would know that Jauffre is more specifically in the humble abode of Weynon Priory? In the quest beginning text.
I had the same problem but I think its caused by the better cities mod. The bag is still there, it's hidden inside the stone block of the drawbridge. a patch that slightly moves the location of the bag would be nice.
quick in-game fix that worked for me: 1. ~ 2. type "tfc" 3. find the bag in the pillar 4. open console and click on the bag. "traveler's bag" shows up at the top of the screen 5. in console type "setpos y -141000" bag should appear.
I'm being a bozo, I know but, where is the amulet after using alternative start, please? Love the mod btw that vanilla start is too long and boring once you've done it as many times as I have! :)
Ah yes, this is perfect! Thank you for letting us skip the Patrick Stewart tootoral - having to do that gets old really fast. Arriving on boat lets you come up with more of a concise backstory as well. Why escape from the Imperial Sewers as a sneak thief when you can just travel to the Imperial city for funsies?

I feel dumb; there's a bag nearby wherever you start that contains your starting equipment. Look for a nearby sack.
