I'm using this with the 'Broken Equipable Beards Fix' by Hickory (a cleaned up replacement .esp), and it works perfectly. I also use 'Capes and Cloaks' and the Tail versions of these beards for human races conflicts with that, so you will need to use TES4Edit to change these to use the Amulet slot if wanting to use a Cloak as well.
Anyway this is a great mod to get beards in the game, however i have hit one small snag. I want to be able to change the colour/tone of the default beards given here, to better match my characters hair, but anytime i try to do so i end up with a full black looking beard in game.
I'm using Paint.net and directly altering the dds file, and saving as a default (as far as i can tell): DXT3 (Explicit Alpha), Compressor type: Iterative fit. Error Metric: Perceptual, no Additional Options.
I've tried using the Hue/Saturation controls and just the plain Brightness/Contrast controls.
I then use Archive Invalidation, as for other texture changes but still no positive in game result.
Whatever adjustments i make, however small, the beard texture won't function as expected in game. Anyone have any suggestions on maybe how to fix this problem?
Maybe it's late.... but... just installed this and everything on my character looks fine, on the other hand, NPC's just don't change at all... employing OMM, I suppose it charges both the equipable and the leveled list... not sure if its an incompatibility issue with other mods or just a bad upload process by myself... any help would be awesome.
I just put this right on the bottom of my mod list so.... I use OCO but as I said it does work fine with pc but no with npcs......
