thank you this is also a pet peeve of mine. like i hated guitar hero, it could have actually taught kids how to play guitar. games are great ways to learn, its a shame more devs dont seize the opportunity to make it about learning something real.
That's why I just recently fixed the chemistry in game. It confused me and I just wanted to make substances through logic and reason rather than Russian roulette. My new mod trashes all the s#*! equations and replaces them with real ones.
Yeah, my original plans were to create functional chemistry but after looking through the refiner recipes and seeing totally nonsensical bs, idek where to start...
I just downloaded the experimental version and found that if you delete DISABLEMODS.TXT or rename it to ENABLE, it will create a new file for disabling mods. You have to go into PCBANKS and either delete it or rename the new file. Other than that, it seems to still work for me. Let me know if you have any future issues on your end. Thanks.
Hello! Is there a chance that this mod will be updated for version 1.77, and the upcoming Vulkan update? If not, would you be willing to share how you did this so that others can update this mod? Thanks for all your work from a chemistry nerd!
When updating NMS, either experimental or possibly at all, it will reinstall DISBALEMODS.TXT if you deleted or renamed it. Go into PCBANKS and either delete the new file or rename it.
The modding here is fairly basic, as it was my first mod. The real trick was being able to photoshop the particles whilst retaining the NMS vanilla look. Please message me with any other issues you find and I'll work on it as soon as I can.
