Hey guys, I just thought I should give you a heads up about me being incredibly inactive and why that's the case.
Recently I started up uni again and I've been a bit swamped with work. That coupled with the ever so dropping statistics of NMS has left me a bit unmotivated to spend the little time I have to try and work on this.
I do plan to continue playing with this and I'll try to fix things that cause NMSE to completely not work but it won't be as rapid when it first came out of course. If anyone wishes to contribute in anyway they think would prove useful please feel free to email me. Check out my github at: https://github.com/Ant2888/NMSExtender
If I could get experienced people with low-level programming and memory hacking that would help in many ways and could even cause NMSE to expand much more than it has already.
Well i hope it still works well, as i noticed the devs are pushing sneaky tiny updates which makes changes to their game kinda impossible in some ways. As many resize mods suddenly did no longer work or really mess up you game progress. So i am gonna try it :) I think the USERS HERE should not let down the people who spend often a lot of time and effort to create this mods or work on the site and i am baffled how little most people care about it. Anyway developer i hope it is still working well and i would like to thank you very much for the work you do :D
I've downloaded it and am analyzing it with a friend of mine who does coding way better than I do (I haven't coded raw C in almost a decade). The code here is .. very in-depth. Very low-level(O_o);;
If I get any progress will let everyone know. On the plus side, the GitHub includes both this code AND the stack code. So ... fix one, hopefully fix both.
I'm done playing NMS until ALL my Mods can FUNCTION again... I need this scripthook program! Come on ANT2888.... or anyone for that matter release an updated version! I don't have programming skills otherwise I would be happy to get this going myself..
Unfortunately, I think most of the first wave of mod authors have moved on. It's not such a big deal for things which can be reproduced by changing settings in text files but something like NMSE isn't so simple. It'll require memory hacking skills and tools which the remaining modders may not have.
this mod is currently completely broken, and is waiting for somebody with the necessary knowledge to update it, to work with the latest version of the game...
I'd really like to play NMS with mods again... ant2888... Not everyone hates NMS, I like the PC version because YOUR mod manager/enabler makes this game so much better... PLEASE update it to work with version 1.13... Thanks..
