Black Space and Hax Starpaint are working together ? I read they both use PSTREAM.SHADER.BIN.

    thanks

Yes, they do. The changes that Black Space makes to that particular file are handled by StarPaint. They are fine together as long as StarPaint loads later, which it does by default.

Phenomenal looking mod! I'm rebuilding my modlist after the Visions update, and right now, just have the following: Black Space, Black Map, Crescent Worlds, Less Intrusive Rings, and no space dust/plasma both. I can see stars just fine in the load screens and map, but not in the game itself. I'm only using one color map (right now, it's the Skittles variant), so as far as I can tell, I'm doing everything correctly. If not I'd love to fix my issue, cuz this looks like a must-have mod for me! ^_^

Thanks for the praise. The background stars are visible, I just tested. They are very hard to see. They are so small you probably won't even be able to distinguish the color.

Are your stars actually being recolored? If the star colors are showing correctly in the loading screen and in the map, then the background stars should be fine as well, even though you may not see them. It's very subtle so if the colors work in general, then I wouldn't worry about the background stars.

I can make the background stars slightly bigger but I already tested it and didn't like the effect.

If you still think it's not working correctly, then post your mod list and we'll figure out where it's going wrong.

For your reference, this is my mod list and order:

      Asteroid Fields 1.0 for NEXT.pak
      Black Carbon 1.8.pak
      Black Map 1.0 for NEXT.pak
      Black Space 1.7.pak
      Clean Screen 1.1.pak
      Fast Actions 1.6 + Small Cursor 1.6.pak
      HaxStarPaintMap-Blackbody-Vibrant.pak
      HD Clouds 4K 1.3.pak
No Blinding Lights - no effect 1.0 for NEXT.pak
      No High Clouds 1.1.pak
No Space Dust 1.0 for NEXT.pak
No Space Plasma 1.0 for NEXT.pak
      Rare Rings 1.1.pak
      Rotating Clouds Shader 1.3.pak
      Slow Clouds 1.0 for NEXT.pak
      WarpCandy-v2.1 - ASSET PACK - Fuego.pak
      zHaxStarPaint-v1.75.pak

Nice work! Now try changing the star system lighting to match the color of the star. Planets with a deep red colored sun should mostly be red... Darker color stars have dimmer lighting etc

Good idea but it sounds like a lot of work :)
I am considering a mod to improve the look of the local star seen in space so it is more detailed.
I could probably match the color for that but system lighting is more complicated/intricated.
