Reversing option now available. Please remember to choose only 1 option still - so it's either you want AtmoHover or AtmoReverse. You can still hover with AtmoReverse, it just takes a slight amount of finesse.

MBINCompiler is the program used to make these mods and there has to be some work done after each major NMS update and it can sometimes take up to a week for the program to be updated, please be patient.
If I'm feeling well enough to hex edit the game files, it will be updated before the MBINCompiler update. I've updated the mod via hex editing and not through the mod tool (MBINCompiler, as it can sometimes take a week to be updated) so bugs could exist, but I was very careful hex editing the values that my mod changes. All hex edits have been confirmed to be edited correctly with updated MBINCompiler. Game on! Each file option of the mod has been tested before uploading and hover/pulse speeds all worked worked correctly.

Added Vortex FOMOD installer support Added .lua script for merging - you can define your own pulse speeds by editing the .lua file as well. Look in the Optional Files section for the .lua script.
Downloaded the new version. At first it didn't work. I noticed that the game had an update. The update put the DISABLEMODS file back in. Anyone having an issue check that first.
Any news on adding reverse on Starborn and other vehicles capable of hovering? Just noticed this myself. It is one of the better ships in game, but overall not a major issue.
I have only been able to get NMS and start playing it in the past week or two, so I can't confirm or deny anything about the mod before that point. But based on what I have read about the game, the Sentinel Interceptors could hover from when they were added, the Starborn Runner couldn't hover when it was first added by the Expedition, but players raised enough noise that HG added that ability, and the Starborn Phoenix DLC ship has had hover built in since it was given that limited release. Someone else would have to say whether this mod worked fully with those ships before Worlds II, but it is interesting to know that it is an unexpected issue that reverse isn't working on the ships with hover built in.
Once I find some time to investigate further since it is probably an entirely different table I need to edit, lots of stuff to look through. Once again thank you.
seems to be working still in 5.54 but what i want to know is how you got the purple map in the pictures, it looks really good and i want to change the color of mine as well. I've tried looking around but cant seem to find anything on changing the in ship map. Any help would be appreciated.
These screenshots were taken in the NEXT update, version 1.5, so long ago. Things have changed, I'm not even sure if a ship cockpit that looks close to it can even be obtained now without mods.
im fine with more mods i just want to know if its still possible to change the color of the ship map. if anyone knows what mod it was that could change the color of the ship map id love to know. if there is nothing that does that anymore then that's that.
I'm not sure as I'm no longer super up to date with what's out there for NMS these days, time restraints and such. Hopefully someone moseys their way to the comment section and has a suggestion for ya or something. GL!
NMS v5.29. Using AtmoHoverOnly.pak, the option to switch to ship's third person view disappears from the quick menu. Also experiencing issues not being able to land sometimes. Tested with no other mods loaded.
Edit: Pak'd .lua with AMUMSS works fine (in regards of the third person view issue)

I have the bug describe here, I'm using the 5.29 and option : AtmoHoverOnly.pak (not the mod with reverse in atmosphere), so bug on landing (E key to land inactive) and the key to change view not functionning, using 4 other mod : Beyond_base building, Embossed ship, construct separate light color, Naturals Night, checked if GCSPACESHIPGLOBALS.GLOBAL.MBIN modifed by theses mod it seem ok. Looking to try mod one by one now to see if it's one of the four other mod. steph.
PS : forgot to say (may be a bug or not) problem during expédition, back to my main save using the new game option to finish the expedition, and key to change the third view is functional again, mapped on Key "0" numerical keyboard, testing with four other mod now.
Ok, I'm not sure if I'm just dumb or not but I cant get the Reverse in Atmosphere to work? I tried using both the .lua to make the PAK as well as the premade PAK you provide.

The hover functionality AND the pulse speed modifications both work, I just cant reverse. Tried AtmoReverse-PulseSpeed_v5.29.0 and the .lua (separately). Checked for conflicts with both, no conflicts or warnings.
Am I missing something? Either way, the hover and pulse speed are amazing! Thanks for the mod!

So I tested out the files and reversing is working just fine.
Please check to see if DISABLEMODS.txt file came back for you, located in the directory PCBANKS .\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS If so delete the file DISABLEMODS.txt

Unpack where you want AMUMSS to be located and then run the BUILDMOD.bat file a handful of times until it says there is no longer any updates for it.
All is well and update, it's just some versioning shenanigans.

I'm not sure if the expedition could mess with stuff in this manner, so maybe it's a bug on their end?

So I tested out the files and reversing is working just fine.
Please check to see if DISABLEMODS.txt file came back for you, located in the directory PCBANKS
.\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS
If so delete the file DISABLEMODS.txt

Nevermind, I had a pak that conflicted with my amumss pak. I did not know you could merge paks with amumss.
