The mod causes you to have the extended building menu even when outside of a normal building zone. Curious: if I place the structures in my freighter that I want, then remove the mod, will the structures remain even after closing the game and re-opening?
The save point developed problems possibly unrelated to the mod but that prompted me to stop using it. I uninstalled the mod shortly after, just in case it was glitching with the latest updates.
Fortunately, the answer to the above question is "yes". The Teleporter and Save Point that I installed in my Freighter thanks to this mod are still there after removal and the teleporter still works perfectly.
I'm always wary of large mods that allow a lot of things. Let's say 1.56 breaks the mod and the author is done with the game, will we even be able to load the game with this mod disabled?
I am OK with what we can build and where with vanilla. Except there is this typical dumb decision by HG to not allow teleports and save points inside a freighter. It would be great if we could get a light version of this mod with just these two features enabled inside a freighter "base". The less we mess with the game the less will break I guess :), so even if a patch breaks it, I guess we'll lose the teleport and save point inside the freighter but not much else, no?
just 2 pieces I'm really looking for here, the portable save point and portals. do they work alright in this mod? strange that we can't use these in vanilla
Does anyone know what happens with modded bases (or any other mod) and be "online"? I have some mods and all the time I have the "lost connection to online discovery services" message... I wonder if I'll ever meet another player.
If you have a mod that alters damage/speed, you will be faster than the people that don't have them. i.e: you have 4x ship speed. You will zip around faster than the people that don't have that mod. Viceversa with people that have mods that you don't. There are some cases, ( reduced launch fuel cost ) that bug you entirely from online; you will lose your session with the poeple near you and they'll disappear. So if you want to see other players/play with friends, only use HUD/Reshade/texture mods. Anything else, can bug you out of the session.

I Had this one issue where i was teleported away from base when i left the session and came back but that was Fixed.
Note** When playing online they should have the same mods as your just to make sure everyone can see the same Terrain/Models etc
