To download, click on the mod lua (starts with _JJs.Better.Ships) click on the RAW button, then right-click on the page and choose Save as.
Be aware that the script generally requires surgery after NMS updates that make changes to the EXPERIENCESPAWNTABLE file, as HG adds new listings, which change the lines that the mod changes need to be made on. I always endeavor to get the script updated asap, but may take a bit after an NMS release as I need to wait for an updated MBINCompiler, then I have to get my published mods updated. :)

I want a solar ship but i been in a trade post (pirate system) for a while and all i see are Alien ships and rarely an exotic but not a single solar, can i change the spawn rate or stop the alien ships from spawning? And if i can, how? Thx
Solar ships can spawn in any system with this mod, never wait around for hours on end hoping whatever ship you are after will spawn, keep traveling to new systems, different systems spawn different ships and in different ratios, what you see within about the first ten to fifteen minutes in a system at space stations or trading posts is all that system will have and they will just repeat over and over again. Trading posts are always busier than space stations too and are the place to go for ship hunting.
Removed all mods, only have JJs better ships. Deleted mod file, restarted game, error:
"The game has encountered an error and will shutdown. Potential mod incompatibilities have been detected".
Attempted to use mod three times, same message occurs, game will not load. No issues before "Relics" update.
Just tested 10 mods from my list, 8/10 worked, yours was one that causes the game to crash once selecting the save file. Unsure of the reason.
Extra information: I do have some ships archived within my Freighter Fleet, not sure if that could cause the issue given the update. They are all living ships.
V 4.8 updated for Relics, if it crashes just reload it a second time and it should work fine, HG's mod detection system is a bit screwy and needs to reset the mod name in the GCMODSETTINGS file. It may automatically disable mods too if it has a crash so it's a good idea to check that file as well. Any troubles please let me know. JJ
Can confirm that this mod is currently not working with the Relics update. I have gone through my mod list adding each mod back one by one and this is the one that is giving me a conflict. I can get through the splash screen and everything but once I try to load my save I get the error that I have a mod conflict.
If I remove this mod, my save loads just fine. It isn't a conflict with another mod either as I was using my entire mod list prior to the Relics update just fine with this mod included. Hope there is an update soon.
Are you aware that the location for the MODS folder has changed since the Worlds 2 update ? It's now No Mans Sky / GAMEDATA / MODS Did you unzip the folder after downloading and then open the unzipped folder and then copy the JJs Better Ships folder that is inside that over to your mods folder ? It won't work if you install the unzipped folder you need the folder that is inside that one, the one in the same place as the read me text file. Also check that Mods are enabled by going to : No Mans Sky / binaries / SETTINGS / GCMODSETTINGS.MXML and inside that file it should be set to this : <Property name="DisableAllMods" value="false" />
Please let me know how you go, the mod is fine so it must be an install issue somewhere. JJ

That's great news, and yeah I'm not a fan of the new folder system, it's not as clear for mod users compared to the old pak files. I got caught out with this same thing myself when they first changed it. Hope you enjoy the mod. JJ
I think it was due to a previously spawned ship. it was a ghost. Visually there but couldn't interact after install. The next use of the echo spawned everything ok and it was S class :)
Pirate systems, any single type ships { non procedural } like the expedition ships are found mostly in pirate systems, they may spawn randomly elsewhere but rarely. Trading posts are always busier than space stations too and are the best place to go for ships.

It's always best to try a mod by itself to test it.
