Oh praise be, thanks so much. Is there a way to manually alter this distance in a file perhaps? I actually want to make them spawn ever further away, they're doing my head in!
Also if you put "Sentinel" in the title you might get a couple more DLs btw :)
Hi! You can simply edit the only file in the mod by opening the EXML with any text editor (I use Notepad++) and changing the number (50) to your preferred value. Just note that you should probably keep spawn distance at a maximum of around 150, as Patrol Drones despawn at 200u and respawn somewhere closer. So if you set the spawn distance to 200 or slightly below, hilarious things might happen. I haven't tested that.
Regarding the name, thanks for the suggestion but that would ruin the acronym, plus I don't care too much about downloads. I just provide some of the mods I've made for myself to others if they're easy enough to maintain.
Brilliant idea! I'm using most of your mods now as they suit my playstyle. Hope you can keep them updated with HG's many updates. Many thanks and Kudos to you!
Thank you! :) I have only (re-)published my mods because I anticipate that I won't need to update them nearly as often if at all, now with the new modding system. But time will tell. The thing is, I am not going to become a Gumsk or Babscoole or Lo2k, who basically keep updating their mods reliably no matter what; I make and maintain mods as long as I play the game they're for. When my current phase with any given game ends, I am usually not willing to update unless it's a relatively quick job to do (which it would be in the case of the majority of my newly published NMS mods). So it is entirely possible that I'll hide some of the mods at some point, for example if HG make large changes under the hood again. But here's hoping I won't have to. ;)
