Needs updated as of today, doesn't crash but does nothing. I believe HG made some changes to Living ships due to the new expedition having a special living ship as a reward.
I can at least confirm that the weapon changes from this mod (the best part) are nullified by the new update today
FYI: If you run into a mod that doesn't work, you will have to return and delete the settings file in Binaries/SETTINGS, because the file will turn to false, and Mods won't work, even the ones you got working the first time.
Will this Mod work with gShip Better Living Weapons without having to merge the two Mods? I want both mods, but as you know from previous conversations, I am NOT a techie
Minor issue that may not even be your fault, but the Grafted Eyes overheat within less than a second when this mod is active. Even with three optimum S-class techs and one of them supercharged, the overheat is so fast that the weapon is basically unusable. Spewing Vents, however, work like a charm and are deeply satisfying to use.
That was intentional. I bumped the damage way up and made it a one-shot overheat. I may need to increase the damage to make it work well, but I want it to work differently than the normal laser
I didn't think about that. It might actually get a little too high on maneuverability with the Wraith's higher base maneuverability. Let me know if you see problems.

Edit: Just verified this myself, YES, it does modify the new living ship fighter from the expedition!
