I created a new folder named "Fly Like Iron Man" in the MODS folder, and extract all the files into the path "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS\Fly Like Iron Man\". The mod is working good now.
Other then having to restructure the folders- I think this is hands down one of the best mods I've ever seen. Change the name and get rid of that first unnecessary folder and you've got yourself the perfect mod! Big Kudos
Yes, BUT with a caveat. Due to the extreme number of changes to the ANIM files in the mod, would be ridiculously difficult to really script these out granularly. So, these script ONLY deal with the global files changes, which are what would conflict anyway.
Extract the contents of the downloaded mod .pak version you want to use. Can use PSARCTool, or can place the .pak into AMUMSS\ModScript, then run BUILDMOD.bat and the contents will be extracted to AMUMSS\TOOLS\UNPACKED_DECOMPILED_PAKs. Take the MODELS folder and copy it into AMUMSS\ModScript\GlobalMEFTI. Remove the original .pak from ModScript and put the Lua in there. Run BUILDMOD.bat. You'll be prompted to include the files in GlobalMEFTI, say Y. :)
This is a must have for anyone playing. The jetpack in the base game is such garbage that once you use this you'll never be able to play without it. Keep up the good work.
Hey there dude, good job for making the jetpack considerably less terrible in this game, real staple mod for NMS. There's another mod that makes the jetpack not suck anymore, but i like the handling on yours better, could do without the custom animation tho, because, honestly, it always looked pretty janky, but from the description it seems like you're working on that.
Love your work on this mod! Just a heads up, the 4/1 update includes null(wip) files for what may be custom animations, but their file paths are too large/long when placed correctly into the local file MODS directory.
e: Forgive me, this seems to be a misfire report. The folder is packaged one extra layer and that seems to be the issue. Will report back if not the case.
People are going to have trouble installing this mod because it's packaged incorrectly. A mod manger will extract the LOOSE files to the MODS folder, because the zip doesn't contain it's own folder with the loose files inside it.
The mod should be packed like this
Fly Like Ironman <-------(Folder)
With these files and folder INSIDE the "Fly Like Ironman folder MODELS GCPLAYERGLOBALS.MBIN (Max Speed)GCPLAYERGLOBALS.MXML
