I used to be able to play with a reasonable frame rate, but it's been a long time and it seems the requirements have increased.
Anyway, the game isn't recognizing that the file is in the mods folder, even though it will recognize other mods. Got any ideas? I tried launching with just this mod and it still didn't recognize it.
game crashes when I use it and the only other mods I use are high cpu priority and fast scans. Wonderful modding environment where almost every mod breaks after each update and 90% of mod combinations have collisions.
Indeed. Normally on space the atmosphere of the planet, as well as its rings (in case it has any) are the first things that load. When you approach the planet it's when the terrain loads. Since I removed the atmosphere and rings, planets are not visible until you come really close to them. I know it feels unconvenient, but at least you can play at a decent frame rate 😅
I recommend trying to tag the planet either by pressing E if you happen to know the direction, or via esc menu.
Forget about my last message. I have talked to several friends who also have the mod installed and two of them had the same problem. I checked it out and they could not find planets even doing what I told you to do, so I just uploaded an specific update with Atmospheres back on, but smaller so you can actually see the planets. Although take into account that this may cause a few frame drops.
Hey, do you know if this is what removes dust/smoke from storms on planets? That's probably the only thing I'd like to get rid of to help my aging graphics card.
