Performance Improvements and what to expect
This mod has been tested in two different old laptops.
- Laptop 1 > Nvidia 920m, 8Gb Ram, Intel 5th Generation
- Laptop 2 > Nvidia 120x, 8Gb Ram, Intel 6th Generation
In both cases there was a noticeable improvement in frame rate, hitting a nice stability that allowed a decent and smooth gameplay. Obviously this mod sacrifices beauty for playability, but the game still retains some beauty from its true essence. There were still some small frame rate drops, specially in Space Stations and heavily lightened spaces, but for the rest it runs smoothly.
Important Notes
- I did not check this mod compatibility with any other graphics mod, but since this mod is a downgrade, I see no reason to check such compatibility.
- Take into account that this mod removes atmospheres, so normally you won't be able to see the planets unless you're really close to them. There have been some cases in which players are not able to track any planet by any means, so I added an specific update just in case you feel like you need to see the Atmospheres. Take into account that this may cause a few frame drops.
