I read that this might impact existing saves in some ways. I was mid exploration on a planet and the dangerous plants have returned. Went to all the other planets in this system and the same is true there as well.
Does this require a new planet (unscanned) to remove the unwanted plants?
This mod could only impact flora spots on planets you already visited as said in the description, but there's no further issue with any unkown planet you will land on. You don't need to reach a new planet to see its effects. Just adding the mod folder, launching the game and loading a save will apply the changes and remove the plants around you.
No mod to silence or remove just the spore plant because those things are truly the most annoying sounding things in the game... Well there's this mod that removes all of them but that's not what I wanted. But the .lua file was easy enough to change so only the spore plants and gas plants was removed as those are just as annoying because you cant enter a cave without encountering them by the dozens. I removed the lines mentioning the fly trap and whip plant that was above and below the spore plant and it is perfect. I would highly suggest making a new mod page doing just the underground gas and surface spore plants but leaving the other two as this mod is already about removing them all.
I don't understand why this mod doesn't get more attention. I find the same hazardous flora on each and every planet to be a HUGE part of the variety problem. It is one of the main immersion killers. So thank you so much for keeping this mod updated, I really appreciate it. For me it is an essential mod. Can't play without it.
In the early game moments, oxygen and sodium are pretty important and without plants, I'm not sure how you can survive. but past this first hour, there sure is no real interest in them.
Before Visions one could survive very well without these. After all there are still less instrusive oxygen plants and often you get oxygen as a secondary ressource. Started a new save with your mod, it is absolutely no problem. Actually the spawn frequency is way too high, I have 2500 oxygen in my inventory within the first 30 minutes or even less without deactivating hazardous flora. It's overkill IMO.
Doesn't seem to be fully working. I even tried running the .lua through amumss with the latest mbin compiler (4.12.1.1) and still seeing the tall gas emitting plants all over.
That's a good point, thanks for the investigation. I did some new tests too and I coudln't find any plant on frost, radioactive and arid biomes but found some on a lush planet.
I did some changes and improvements thanks to Arjed in 1.1 mod version but if you still find some plants, please tell me what type and on what plante biome
