1.2 - Reverted inventory size change to the original clean_hud mod sizing. Also hopefully fixed random ships from spawning on planets, since I was having pairs of 2 large ships continuing to randomly spawn, which I thought were frigates but I had disabled that and it kept happening, so now Ive disabled 'ambient spawns' which I think *might* be the culprit.
This is the first mod I tried to install for NMS and the game just closes with the potential mod incompatibility error. I'm guessing they did something to break mods? I tried some other mods and they don't work either.
Game crashing when l load my save, during "star clusterfuck" screen. Error says "mod conflicts" but I tested it even with no other mods present and still crashing. Help :(
Is it possible to get the script for the HD clouds mod? I was able to make the VR warning removal mod work in the current version by editing the script a little, but the vanilla clouds are oh so blurry and the mod seems to almost white out the screen as is.
If his mod isnt updated for the recent update, you can check with Babscoole on the NMS modding discord and see if he has a script for it. Otherwise I no longer have the files.
May I include this mod within my collection? It's mainly just to make it easier on me to install and reinstall when I have to install and reinstall NMS itself. I'm asking just to cover my rear-end if/when NexusMods asks about it.
Do whatever you want with the mod. Im not modding NMS right now so I dont care if or how my files are used. However, if someone wishes to update and publish this mod, it would be nice to credit the mod its based on which is hilightnotes mod.
but why? You quit of your own choosing. This isn't copyrighted material under law, it's some binary changes to software that doesn't belongs to someone else under law. You're ability to amend and change it is a privilege, not a right and no credit should be expected by any other authors
Its not about me actually Ranebow, Im saying that because my mod is based on the open permissions of another author, that other author should be credited. Its just basic courtesy in the modding community to do this. You can choose to ignore it, but its bad etiquette.
In case this helps, of the .paks from this mod that I tried without VR enabled:
"VR QoL, No Compass, Inventory 2" - causes immediate crash during game load "IMMERSIVE TORCH" - causes item stacks max to 5, messed up difficulty menu text, and life support glitch
These don't crash but i'm not sure if they do what they are supposed to:
Darker Derelict Frigates DarkerNights Longer Shadow distance QuickJourneyMilestones TransparentMenus VR Grass Distance Increase VR HD Clouds - No Highlight - No Bloom
Edit #2: I haven't been able to figure it out, but it doesn't appear the LUA files are enough? Is there something else I'd need to get started trying to update this?
<p>Edit: Ignore me, the LUA files are in the ZIP, I just missed it initially :)</p> <p> </p> <p>Hey! First off, I've heard awesome things about this mod, so I appreciate all the work you've put into it. So many great QoL features for VR here. The HUD fixes are really the one thing missing from NMS VR that can take it to the next level imo.
I'm sure it's a pain to keep fixing it every update, but is there any chance you'd mind sharing the source code so we can take a stab at updating it for the Fractal update? I'm just diving back into NMS and would love to see if I can make this work!</p>
I posted a comment earlier, but for some reason I can't see I here so I'm going to repost it or something like it, I can't remember exactly What I said.
I hate Bloom in VR it looks like horse Sh@t. I use your mod to get rid of the bloom which is great for the most part. Except for one thing my weapon. Without Bloom my Pulse Spitter shoots white balls. In a perfect world I would turn bloom off for everything but the Pulse Spitter but that's not realistic. Is there a way to lower the bloom intensity so it's not so overwhelming during normal play but still there so that the Pulse Spitter doesn't look like it's shooting out large pellets.
Attepted to compile 3 files: "IAH - No HUD Tracking - No VR Warning.LUA" "IAH - VR Grass Distance increase.lua" "IAH - VR QoL and other Changes.LUA"
got into some problems
"IAH - No HUD Tracking - No VR Warning.LUA" produces errors- reason is 2 extra "}" at end of file
"IAH - VR Grass Distance increase.lua" makes 8k+ warnings like -> Based on SPECIAL_KEY_WORDS pairs: >>> {"Filename","MODELS/PLANETS/BIOMES/COMMON/GRASS/BUBBLELUSHGRASS.SCENE.MBIN",}, <<< [[WARNING]] SPECIAL_KEY_WORDS cannot be found. Skipping this change! [[WARNING]] Some KEY_WORDS not found, script result may be wrong!
"IAH - VR QoL and other Changes.LUA" produces 2 errors [[ERROR]] Selene detected @ line 28, col 6: error[duplicate_keys]: key `MBIN_FILE_SOURCE` is already declared [[ERROR]] Selene detected @ line 29, col 6: error[duplicate_keys]: key `EXML_CHANGE_TABLE` is already declared the last one maybe is quite harmless(or not if AMUMSS skips the file due error), still can be avoided.
To the dev of this mod. Thank you for your hard work. It's really appreciated. I'm currently only using the IAH - No Planetary Flybys.pak, and it seem to not work as I have flybys happening. Also, I'm a bit concerned, since I'm new to the game, that the pirate in space not working properly will also happen like someone else mentioned. I can confirm other mods are working. Thank you again. : )
