I play NMS in VR. Light Bloom in VR looks hideous so I use a mod to turn Light Bloom off. Unfortunately the Pulse Spitter now looks like it's shooting giant white pellets. Is there a way to change the color of the projectile itself not it's halo/glow?
Have you tried this mod yet? It should change the color of the pellet and the glow. The pellet itself is going to be a light version of the color selected, unfortunately, as it's created with a glow effect, which washes out all the colors. I could maybe try turning down the glow level to see if it gives a darker color. What color were you wanting?
You're a mage! Without Light Bloom the Pulse Spitter's glowy effects are no longer there, so the color of the pellet is all you see until it hits a target. In VR or at least on the Quest everything is a bit brighter than on the Flat screen version. Orange looked the best. It looked more yellowish but that's a good thing because it looks like it came out of an energy weapon. I have the LUA files from Gumsk's GMOD page but to be honest I didn't know which values effected what. Once again thanks!
If you are looking at the Lua, I had to add a divisor to the FileSource2 section to drop the color values; that kept the glow effect from washing out the color; I divided the xyz values there by 3 to get it to this color.
Going through and testing your mods to use them in my game (v4.07). And this one causes a hard crash when I pull the trigger with the pulse spitter equipped. But not when I use any of my other multitool attachments like mining laser or terrain editor. Just letting you know, thanks for all the great mods and keep up the good work :)
Confirmed, crashes with the old version, but works fine with a recompile. I'm going to try to change the impact spark color really quickly, then I'll recompile all the colors and upload a 4.07 version. Thanks again.
No problem at all. I like a ton of your mods so im just going through and checking them out :) thanks so much for everything its very much appreciated.
