This doesn't seem to work with my PC/Steam install and Vortex.
The mod is installed by Vortex in \steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS\ but according to your instruction.txt it should be installed in \steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS (i.e not in PCBANKS but one level higher)
Is your instructions incorrect or is Vortex doing the wrong thing?
Good to know, none of the mod authors I've downloaded from has mentioned this in their instructions. Hopefully Vortex will fix it soon enough. I'll just "install" them manually then
Great idea for a mod! I have a bit of a weird issue after installing it though, where sometimes when I teleport to my freighter, the teleport room and an adjacent hall are not 'connected' to the rest of the ship. So they have walls as if there are not rooms next to them. I have to build an airlock out of the closed off room, then disassemble and reassemble the teleporter to reconnect it to the ship.
Edit: Reloading my save after teleporting also seems to fix the issue. Might be just an bug with NMS?
Very simple but totally logical mod. Makes the teleporter look normal in that room. Never understood why it was angled the way it was and I can walk around the straightened one just fine. Thanks Lo2k for updating this as well for New Worlds
Just to be sure (we never know, I'm human), I just checked and there is indeed no folder in the zip file. it only contains the 3 intended files including the installation notes explaining how to place the .pak file in the correct folder.
Hate to pile on two years late to the party, but you basically put a "kick me" sign on your own back and didn't even muster up the nerve to apologize or own your mistake, so here goes...
"I relied on modders knowing what their doing."
Firstly, as NemoSidus pointed out...*they're.
Secondly, modders rely on mod users to know what they're doing. You clearly do not.
Here's the lesson to learn from WinglessFlight, folks: If you're going to jump directly to being an a** the second something doesn't work how you expect, you might want to first make sure the problem isn't due to you having no clue how to properly extract and copy files. Because, if you don't double check that...you look like an a** AND a moron.
it's ok guys, WinglessFlight is not the first nor the last player that will use mods incorrectly and report errors that are not there. No need to go further than tell where they messed up. I'm sure they won't do the same error twice.
Level headed, reasonably reactive and, conflict resolution awards for 2024 goto Lo2K for being possibly the most completly hinged mod author spotted this year (Possibly of all time? Hall of fame??).
Seeing an interaction like this randomly in the wild is commendable. Guaranteed Lo2K would be great to have a beer with.
I wonder if they did this deliberately for "performance" reasons? Such as occlusion helping the initial load in or something. Glad you fixed it in any case, how annoyment :D
Oh my god thank you!!! the teleporter has been driving me nuts since i first saw it. i almost didnt build it on my main save freighter because of how janky it looked. Well done good Sir!

OP please REMOVE the Parent Directory.
Mods go in Mods Folder not a sub folder inside of it.
and both files must be in SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS
(I'm also going to unnecessarily double space all lines.)
I figured out why you made this comment.
You don't know what you're doing.
You remove the parent directory. You created it. There are no folders in the zip.
RTFM. There is an installation notes txt file in the zip. (Which is most likely in your mods folder now, because you didn't RTFM.)
FYI only one file (*.pak) in this zip goes in the mods folder. Not "both". (Whichever 2 of the 3 files you are referring to.)
We love you. Have a wonderful day!

No need to be rude, m8.
