Go ahead and download the mod file you desire.
Go to No Man's Sky game folder should look something like this (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky)
Enter "GAMEDATA" next enter "PCBANKS", find a .txt file called "disablemods.txt" and rename or delete it. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS)
At the "PCBANKS" folder create a folder named "MODS", and put your mods wich is the .PAK file in there. (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS)
DO NOT PUT .LUA FILE IN THERE BECAUSE IT WILL NOT WORK.
Start the game, congratulations.
