Although included are versions for different day length variants, it is very easy to modify for yourselves. The conversion table below should help if you simply want to edit the values:
--TIME RATIOS 30 Mn = 1800 01 Hr = 3600 03 Hr = 10800 06 Hr = 21600 09 Hr = 32400 12 Hr = 43200 24 Hr = 86400 48 Hr = 172800 96 Hr = 345600 192Hr = 691200 Open up GLOBALS/GCSKYGLOBALS.GLOBALS.EXML in your preferred text editor / IDE and modify the DayLength property at the top of the file. Default is 1800.000000 which is the game default of half and hour.
PS I did make some small changes though. It's a pity I can't upload personal images to your mod... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3456935920
This is currently being re-factored and will be updated very soon. Apologies for inconvenience. There probably will no longer be a Lua for this since i've moved everything (except PIPELINES) to EXML format.
It is theoretically possible yes. But, i believe there are hard-limits set since i have not been successful in this regard. The values are present and modifiable, which i have tried. But visually when in game, it appears these do not take effect.
So this mod does not currently work? Have I understood it correctly? never tried it before but sounds promising. Would love more drawdistance and longer days!
Not sure if it is allowed but can someone share the previous version of this mod? I had it and deleted it after downloading the updated one just to find out that it does not work, bummer :(.
I also got the O2 insta drain issue, but resolved with using older mod version. Gotta say, such minor changes but it does make everything really stand out alot more now!! Incredible outlining effects (with Ultra GTAO enabled), I think!
After adding this mod I had extremely weird issues, even stuff that should not be touched by this mod, like the speed of oxygen usage in the exosuit is very fast, a few seconds and it's gone. Inside the base it lasted a little longer, but also just seconds more.
The first spawn after loading should be on a safe spot outside my base in a non-hazard environment, the player spawned stuck inside the ground and falling through it. I was able to save his life by the use of the very highly pimped up jetpack thrusters to finally land on the feet above ground. Before he died. Because of the oxygen use speed.
And btw, something happened to the seed, as I recognized all plants and minerals needed to be scanned again.
I'm aware of the preferred method and am working towards that whilst also waiting for the tools we use to be updated to ease this process. The next iteration of this mod will be exml focused where possible. Not all globals can become snippets and must be full replacements.

sadly LUA file doesn't work: a lot of warnings and notices?
Could You update with LUA file please?
Thanks
thanks!
With experimental version I think HG changed "pipeline" files...
Now game seems towards red tonality and offuscated.
Could You update? (also LUA file)
Thank You
