Increases the number of inputs for all refiners to 3. Customizable with AMUMSS.
FEATURES // SIDE EFFECTS
Each refiner reacted to this change a little differently. I think I have found all the quirks but if you find any more be sure to post them so I can update the docs.
- Removing the mod for a given refiner type will destroy the contents of the extra input slots for that type. Empty your refiners before mod-breaking updates or if you want to remove the mod.
- I take no responsibility for lost things.
Backpack
- Personal Refiner (Mk. 1) Input count increased from 1 to 2.
- Personal Refiner (Mk. 2) Input count increased from 2 to 3.
- Fuel duration increased from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. A refiner will automatically finish whatever it is working on if it runs out fuel mid-construction and give you the result. Since, by default, some 3 input products take longer than 5 minutes, I increased the time so you weren't forced to abuse that mechanic if you didn't want to.
- Can only drag and drop from the inventory screen if all inputs are empty. Processing starts automatically so don't do this for recipes with 2+ ingredients. I have no control over how this works.
- I cannot remove the fuel requirement. It breaks the UI for this refiner, preventing you from using all the inputs and other strangeness.
- I cannot make it so both refiners can be installed at the same time, as they are technically the same refiner with a different interface.
Portable
- Input count increased from 1 to 3.
- Fuel requirement removed, or else you could not pick it back up again. While it didn't break the UI, it (sort of) disables the pick-up safety protocols.
- If you have 2+ inputs filled, it cannot be picked up.
- If you have 1 or none inputs filled, anything in the OUTPUT WILL BE DESTROYED. The input is returned to you.
- EMPTY YOUR REFINER BEFORE PICK UP!
Base Medium
- Input count increased from 2 to 3.
- It works just like the big one. No known complications.
GETTING STARTED
Installation
This mod is provided as either pre-built *.pak files or as *.lua scripts for AMUMSS. Please compare the files listed below to your existing mods. If you have any conflicts, you must use AMUMSS to create a combined build for conflict resolution.
- PAK ~ Place *.pak files in <No Man's Sky>\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS and delete <No Man's Sky>\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\DISABLEMODS.txt.
- AMUMSS ~ Place *.lua files in your ModScript folder, along with the .lua for any conflicting mods, and then execute BUILDMOD.bat for perfect conflict resolution. Additional information is available at the AMUMSS Guide.
