BUT. Compiling them back is broken. It doesn't compile the right folder structure. For example:
I want to compile the folder with the following structure: AUDIO/WINDOWS/ENGLISH(US)
the outcome pak then contains this foluder structure instead (something like that, so you get the idea) D:// Programm Files(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/nomanssky/pcbanks/AUDIO/WINDOWS/ENGLISH(US) Which should just be AUDIO/WINDOWS/ENGLISH(US) instead, without all the previous folders.
Sometimes it doesnt even want to pack anything and just starts and stops immediately within half a second. I tried moving the PSARC tool around, as well as the folder I want to compile (i tried to move it to the root drive D://) but to no avail.
Unfortunately this tool never compiled any mod the right way for me, with me almost going insane and not understanding why the mod isnt working at all and NMS is behaving like all the files are missing, even if it absolutely should be. Does anyone have any solution or any other tool to pack/compile PAK files with please?
Okay I successfully done exactly what the instructions says however my question is where are the flags supposed to be so that I can access them. They do not appear within my decorations so how do I get to them?
Any guide about how to use it? I'm trying to find a way to learn how to use this or the "total commander" thing but there aren't readmes or anything that explain how to use them. Thanks in advance.
This tool is very simple/limited. The screenshots actually show the process, but here it is below in writing:
1. Create a folder somewhere (i.e. C:\MYMOD or Desktop\MYMOD or something). 2. Copy the PAK file(s) you want to un-pack to that folder. 3. Click and drag that PAK file(s) on to PSArcTool.EXE, it will extract all of the files to that folder. 4. Change whatever you want. 5. Highlight all of the files you want to re-pack. 6. Click and drag those files on to PSArcTool.EXE, it will create a PSARC.PAK file. 7. Rename PSARC.PAK to whatever you want.
