I've now deleted the extra "ANALOGUE" root folder that was in the zip. I was on the road this week and didn't have time to comb through all the new changes and test everything appropriately. My apologies.
If you have any further issues, let me know and I'll attend to it asap. Thanks : >
Can anyone give me insights on why my mods aren't activating? I already followed the new instructions after Worlds Parts 2 released, made sure the mods were updated, the DisableMods is set to false, and the MODS folders being in the correct place where it should be and being this is the only mod I'm trying to download I still can't anything to work.
This does sound amazing. Makes me wish NMS had various voices to choose from. This reminds me a lot of ISAC from The Division. I love it! It sounds fantastic!
Despite the recommendation, I can't seem to use the New SoundFX for Item and Units Received mod with this one. Having Analog installed means I get your voice lines for the units, but without Analog I get the Skyrim gold noise I chose.
I want to say thank you so much for making this. The voice is much more comfortable for me to listen to for long periods. It feels less like my suit talking and more like I have companion. And the little extra things are nice 'Well done commander'. There are some missing audio like when pirate freighter's engines are destroyed that it would be nice to have replaced. Endorsed and appreciated. Thank you. I know it will be a bit while modding tools get updated to the new modding system before mods are working again. But thank you so much for making it.
The latest update changed the required file structure for mods. PAK files are no longer loaded. Instead, it's a folder system.
To install mods on the new update, you drop the entire mod folder into your GAMEDATA\MODS folder, not PCBANKS\MODS anymore. If you do not have a MODS folder in your GAMEDATA folder, simply make one, and then drop the mod's folder in there and it should work.
How did you do this? I remember following a tutorial from years ago, because I have a nice Scottish Female voice called "Heather" from Cereproc, and I managed to change it years ago. But am not sure if all the old tools still work.
Hey people, in order to get the mod working for Worlds Pt.2 (until an official update is pushed), you need to decompress the mod with psarc, then drag the "AUDIO" folder into a folder in No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\MODS. You can call the folder whatever you want, but ideally for simplicity's sake and easy recognition, call it "Analogue" or something similar. Have fun!
Sorry if this comes across as rude, because I don't mean to take away from your mod and draw attention elsewhere. How did you get the suit voice volume so loud and easy to hear? There are several other suit voice replacers on the Nexus, and the voices are noticeably quieter than the vanilla suit voice.
From some of the other creators I'm lead to believe that the suit voice is tied to SFX volume level and it is not a stylistic choice for these mods to be quieter.
I was really just curious, because in your description video it seems like you got the volume level perfect. It's loud but not distorted at all.
Not rude at all. I've discussed it a bit in the replies here.
Basically, it's exactly due to what you described with it being routed through the main SFX channel, so a more dynamic "high quality" sounding exo-voice will inevitably be drowned out by all other sound elements around the player—even if the voice is normalized to the point of almost clipping. Hence the reason Hello Games' version is as harsh as it is; it simply has to be in order to be heard.

Big thanks to Nazucos for this one. Give it up for her!
Thank you all for your patience and continued support!

[ninja edit lmao]
make sure the AUDIO folder is in the first ANALOGUE_V1.3 folder, instead of the 2nd one
EDIT: what i wrote above is not relevant anymore since the author posted a fixed version :)
But am not sure if all the old tools still work.
