Hey there, looks awesome, but crashes my 1.55 at launch. :/
Are you still on this mod, mind updating it?

I was looking for the original version and while it seems a big improvement in my opinion. I'd prefer something even more "original."

Don't go touching the colours or design there. Just make things smaller, remove the unnecessary black lines around the hud elements and move everything closer to the edges. Maybe leave the compass alone, the icons are small enough already. And also the quest stages that pop up on the lower right corner would be nice to be able to catch up, though that one element could be made straight unlike the other warped ones from the exosuit; as I see those messages coming more from the travellers head or just the game hinting you, compared for example the audio messages from the exosuit.
This was only my thoughts here. I like to see more of the gameworld and less of these distractions.

This is currently my favorite mod yet.

Excellent work on the details, especially at the hex-editing phase of modding!

Its astonishing really what Toffler was able to achieve here -I'm not the mod author just to reiterate.

I don't think most realise that to create this mod, without modding tools being available, yet, Toffler had to edit pure code using Hex and floating point maths -as far as my limited understanding allows!

Sounds like you know more about it Xodarap777. If you'd like to know specifics: LINK

Version "original-removed" is with removed vingette and scanlines but as I can see from screenshot it's NOT exactly as the original minihud, hud is.. straight not with the default angle with pseudo depth...

For easier explaination, I'd like like the screenshot https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1634/images/166-1-1472820973.jpg
(minihud-original) but also with removed vignette and scanlines.

Also, due to the fact that I haven't tried the mod which removes such effects..is it me or removing vignette not only removes corner's fading(darkening) but also changes ALL colors..? With it screenshot seems so reddish comparing with the one removed. Seems to me that vignette is an all-over-the-screen shader.

Too lazy to read all above? Bottom line, the option "minihud_original_removed" has NOT the original pseudo depth and it removes also instagram filter.

The time of day is very different in the shots, I put the colour shift down to that, but I think you might be right! The '_WITHOUT' files change the fullscreen shaders, the other files do not.

      I'll update the description

I don't like the missing and replaced icons. I like seeing that the number means something like for instance number of grenades denoted by a grenade icon not just an ambiguous red dot.

I have a 16:9 resolution ratio and still, when I choose the right file the HUD seems to cover only 1/4 of the screen. I got fond of it so it annoys me pretty hard I can't even use it because it doesn't work as it should...

_MINIHUD_NEW and it doesn't work no matter what I try. _ORIGINAL works as it should.

Okay, hope you manage to fix it 'cause it fits the most of all HUDs I used!

Just checked, its working as expected on my system.

The '_NEW' files have a different layout than vanilla where the status bars float around the crosshair. Its more combat focussed. The HUD elements should appear as per this screenshot: https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1634/images/166-0-1472820973.jpg

Personally I prefer the the Original layout, but its good to have choices! If the '_ORIGINAL' file works for you, that rules out a mod conflict.
