I had a hard time wrapping my brain around what each version changes, so I threw all the values into a Google Spreadsheet so I could see all the changes together. I am sharing it here in case it might be of any use to anyone else out there with the same issue.
Can't make it work :\ I tried placing each of the versions in No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS and also tried installing via file with vortex. game works fine with other mods but not this one. Any help?
Yes. I tried 3 methods: Taking each pack file and trying it solely (placing in folder, running game, testing the mech for change), the 4412a crashes my game, the other files don't, but the mod doesn't work (while 30 other mods do). I also tried installing it via file through vortex after unpacking rar, and also tried repacking a singular file and installing that way, unfortunately didn't help.
idk what that means. I play the regular updated version of the game. single player. update; I downloaded cheat engine nms sheet and enabled infinite jetpack. That's enough for me. Thanks for trying :)
With the ingame no tech damage option on, my mech still gets damaged slots during each fight. Had this "gMech Only No Damage" mod before that worked perfectly. I use couple mods that increase enemies damage, maybe that's what bypasses the no tech damage option. EDIT: even with no mods and ingame no damage option on, mech still gets damaged slots
So I checked yes it was this mod that worked properly for getting no damage, one version called "gMech Only No Damage", like the 384c for exemple. Could it be possible to have this one back ? (Dunno if it made turning faster, but it didnt seem to change the speed walk nor jetpack, which felt better to me)
Where they moved the setting is under damage received, not under tech damage, for some odd reason. I can fix it, but it's going to take a change in gameplayglobals, which will conflict with a lot of other stuff. I'll upload it as a separate mod and include the Lua so it can be merged.
Oh that explains why this situation then, makes no sense, they probably switched it by mistake and shall fix it in a coming patch. So I guess now either we play with no damaged slots AND no damage at all, or damaged AND damaged slots, meaning their tech damage does nothing anymore. Thank you if you can indeed include this fix, that hopefully won't be needed after patch.
What does "no AI combat damage" mean? That the mech is doing no damage in AI mode to keep up the challenge? Or does it receive no damage in AI mode?
Also, is it feasible to get a version with the jetpack improvements but not the walking speed increase? The increased walking speed creates some wonky leg animations.
And thanks for your work here! Glad to have you guys here to better the game. :-)
Agreed RE: "wonky leg animations" - It's prohibitive in my opinion. Like I'd rather not use this mod for that single reason. I do hope we can get an update eventually.
I just added jetpack only and jetpack no damage versions. No damage means the mech doesn't take tech damage from combat. The leg animations are the best I can do with increased speed, as the speed and animations are linked; any increase makes them start looking odd.

None indicate any change to module damage.
