      Just found this now when checking back on a update. That's great news! Here we are post Desolation and I'm hoping this still works. Off to test and report back.

      I had no time to update the mod in the last month, currently i have 2 weeks off and created a new mod that is similar to this one, but updated for the current Desolation update:

    Having fun with this. I play permadeath and add any mods that make the game play more challenging.
    Also use quickstart mod so I don't have to redo tutorial every time I die. Getting far in game actually feels like an accomplishment with these types of mods. TYVM! :D

    thx but no thx! Got a mission to kill 44 monstrosities and they become a bullet sponge wasted 9999 bullets using scatter blaster to kill some! They're hp pool is too large, i dont mind theyre damage adds on the challenge but come on... Have you even tried to balance your mod? Looks like not!

      Not for the weak or faint of heart! You better stay inside your shelter and drink some warn milk instead of exploring hahaha!

      This mod is for everyone who want's it harder.
      The mod is also balanced, but not for "C" class multitools, but for "S"-class Multitools that have a high damage value and also best upgrade modules for the weapons.
      Cause in vanilla gameplay you can defeat anything, from easy to hard creatures aswell as easy to hard pirates without the need to modify or upgrade your ship/multitool. The mod changes that.
      Of course this does change the gameplay style, thatswhy its listed under a "Gameplay" mod.

      having space battles and sentinel encounters was great! The damage npcs (sentinels) does to you is fine too but as said in the first post the HP pool (if you can understand that term) is too unbalanced even for S class fully upgraded scatter blaster MT like i have! I say balance your mods before releasing it to the public!

      Was gonna say I sometimes run mods that give me ridiculous powers, therefore requiring ridiculously adept foes to make it interesting. If you are a C class or Creative/Normal mode player than this mod is probably too hot for you. Better to ask for the weenie version hahaha. Methinks you might consider removing the extreme part from your handle but I digress. I love this mod! Perhaps a toned down version can satisfy your soul? Say...that's a nice Sabertooth you got there....I like it, I like it a lot!

      If you would have asked me nicely, i would have made the adjustments you wanted.
      But blaming me this way leads me to that step.
      For the future ask yourself: Why do you install and play a mod that you don't like?

    NIce mod. Is it possible to get a modular version? I'm most interested in these features:

    - Fights against Pirates are much more difficult.
    - Fights against Sentinels (Space) are much more difficult.
    - Fights against Sentinels (Planet) are more difficult.
    - Fights against Animals are slightly more difficult.

    I run a lot of mods so this confilcts with quite a few things as it sits.

      i just uploaded a "GlobalAdjustments - CombatOnly" version of that mod, that just changes the things you mentioned in your post.

      Wow that was quick! Excellent! I believe this is the only mod that covers these aspects in a single mod. Currently I was using Savage Sentinels (ridiculous overkill but still fun if you can survive), Hardcore Space Battles, and Exosolar's Frequent Space Battles to spice it up. Yours now is the only working mod to increase strength of animals. The last working animal aggression mod I used was Aggressive Creatures which was part of the NMS Fantasy suite and that particular mod is no longer supported so this is great. I'll be testing and reporting back, thank you!

      Okay so far so good! I mixed it with the other mods. NMS Fantasy Fantastic Beasts may be the only conflict so I have it load first. I noticed the animals prowling around in hunting mode and circling me a lot more and seemed a little tougher so it definitely had an effect Not sure if it was that or the damage number that you modified but that's what happens under that scenario. I have to use Fantastic Beasts, can't live without it.

      Now for the good part: So I have your mod loading first and then Savage Sentinels, Hardcore Space Combat, and finally Frequent Space Battles. This combination is outstanding. The degree of difficulty is great. The Sentinels both land and space police, and also the pirates now have insane firepower, fire rate, and are tougher to kill. Also they stay in search mode for sometimes up to 40 seconds on average and also ratchet up to level 5 quickly. I faced down two walkers, two sentinels and a robdog all together in a large cave (shoutout to JustSpaceThings Cave Overhaul 1.6 for the awesome caves and flora/fauna within) very quickly after killing just a few sentinels on my home planet which prior to this combo of mods was fairly mellow. Works good to spice up boring normal mode as well which is where you want to be for the largest multiplayer experience and communities. Again, many thanks and great work!
