The Minotaur camera's default position was raised to match that of the shooting camera. The shooting camera will still elevate slightly on top of that. The downward constraints are also more permissive.
Hello Games introduced a series of changes to the default exocraft cameras in 2.3 and 2.4 making them much more usable. As a result I reverted the tweaks to the Nomad, Roamer and Pilgrim as I feel the mod is no longer needed for them.
The default camera for the Nautilon is much improved in 2.41 over 2.33 in addition to the new camera behaviours. This means I reverted the previous (fairly radical) camera settings for the Nautilon, and merely lowered the camera a bit on top of playing with both some offset upon shooting as well as offset when looking down. I also made sure to retain the default camera's usability on the surface (previously this was the biggest downside to the Nautilon camera tweaks). As the changes are relatively slight compared to vanilla and without compromise, this allows me to only maintain one version of the mod.
Version 1.03
- Fixed the Colossus and Nautilon camera
- Disabled for the Colossus and Nautilon the new default camera behaviour whereby it would elevate when firing the turret - quite ironically, as one of the objectives of this mod is to emulate this behaviour!
- The above-mentioned behaviour was toned down for the other exocrafts, as the modded camera position already gives a clear view of your surroundings - I still intend to keep it as it gives a nice extra bit of feedback.
Version 1.02
Updated for NMS 2.3 Living Ships
Version 1.01
updated for NMS 2.24
This mod tweaks the external camera for the Colossus, Mech and Nautilon and lowers the rotation constraints for most exocraft cameras so you can target objects much closer to the vehicle.
Colossus: because the Colossus is so high and its front overhang blocks so much of the view, the camera will lift significantly as you aim closer to the vehicle, letting you actually see what it is you are mining.
Mech: the default camera was brought much higher, similar to the over-the-shoulder shooting camera.
Nautilon: small tweaks to the default camera, allowing more downward view of the seabed.
This mod also includes the recentering fix. You should not run both mods at the same time.
