Put the entire contents of the zip file in your GAMEDATA\MODS folder, not PCBANKS, similar to this:

Hmm so it worked as it should when I first created the base "Outpost" but once I traveled away and tried to port back via portal it wasn't showing up in the list of bases, so I flew out to it and renamed the base computer and after that I lost the boundary, it appears it went back to default. Using the 2K version.

Base boundaries resetting is a vanilla bug. Save next to the base computer then reload and it should come back

First - love this mod, and have used it for years. I typically go with the 20k boundary.
Interestingly, with this mod active during the current Relics Expedition, I cannot use my Terrain Manipulator ANYWHERE - the 'no edit permissions' warning flashes on screen. However - Disabling this mod, allows me to go back to digging. (Though I didn't notice any nearby bases, it is possible that their ranges 'extended' sufficiently to foil my efforts). Cheers .... and I greatly appreciate the modding work you do!!

Thank you for the kind words. It's possible that's an expedition related issue, but I lean towards it being a base somewhere. Were you anywhere at all near one of the milestone locations? Maybe it's extending the exclusion on those.

It persisted in random, remote landing zones on different planets where I didn't notice any congestion or bases. I believe you are spot on when suggesting Expedition related. Once I've completed the current Exp, I plan to reactivate my 20k boundary, and expect it will run smoothly - thanks once again - Cheers

I'll be playing the expedition later in the week and will try to test it as well.

Neat. I see in the latest file that you may have included something to fix the problem with the exclusion zone around Settlements. Let me be the first to say thanks for that fix plus everything else.

Found out this also affects Settlements, the ones where you make the decisions etc. and get to be Overseer. Mine has ancient bones on it and I tried to dig them up 900 units outside of town but could not. No mining within settlement limits message. Hardly the only place for me to mine resources but figured I would point it out. The benefits far outweigh this situation. Thanks for all the great mods.

Yeah, I'm thinking about slightly adjusting the way it works just to avoid that issue.

Same here. I got my first settlement and had to make sure to go at least 1k units away to start my base since I am using that version of the mod. A minor issue, but notable all the same. Looking forward to how you adjust the mod, Gumsk.

Edited to add: Having the benefit of not needing to expand the base territory bit by bit or run a bunch of segments of wiring and pipes to connect distant parts is well worth the minor issue with the settlement boundary.

A 1000u version would be cool, if that's possible. I'd love to keep the vanilla max, just without the pain of incrementally expanding it from the initial 300.

The latest version is for Worlds Part II, which is on Experimental but not Public yet. It's probably going to Public in the next day or so, based on Sean's tweets, so I'm getting ready. You should be able to safely install this in GAMEDATA\MODS ahead of time and it will take over when your game updates. PAKs won't work soon and you will need these types of folders.

    Bonjour,

Hello First of all thank you for this awesome mod!
However since I installed it the game no longer allows me to mine inside the base, any idea of the problem?
the game gives me this error message : "impossible to mine inside the colony"

Just so you know, while extending base boundaries is a cool idea, the unintended consequence is that a couple modder bases in close proximity can now virtually eliminate everyone else from building a base within 20k - 40k u of an important common area (portal, archives, etc).  Just visited a low gravity collided planet site and with a few base on either planet there wasn't a clear area to put a base for 25,000 u of the intersection. Quite a land grab. Not clear whether players know that they are actually making this happen, but it is really f***ing it up for everyone else.

Changing the build radius for yourself does not affect other players. You will only have the increased exclusion radius if you have the mod installed.

You're saying that if several other players are using the mod in the same general vicinity it won't close up the distance between them so that you can't build a base? That seems to be what happens at some "popular" locations.

      Thanks

If *you* are using the mod, you will not be able to build near someone else. If you are not using the mod, it doesn't matter if they do; the game behaves normally.

OK, so I'll try disabling the mod and see if I can build a base.

      Thanks

Using the 5k gBase Boundary and wanted to get feedback on using it for personal teleporter extension. This feature has radically improved my QOL. I am a fan of floating islands and used to go to crazy lengths to connect them with the personal teleporter. It involved building a lot of stairs and panels to overcome the base boundary limits. This makes it a breeze. Thanks GumskBF!

While it says the connection can be 5K units, and you can definitely make the connection, the teleporter barely ever works beyond 600u. That's a huge 3X improvement over vanilla but has anyone found a tweak to make it work further?

When it does work beyond 600u, it is also pretty exciting to use. If you don't stay on the bottom pad for a few seconds while the terrain generation catches up, you fall through the surface. You can usually jetpack up before it "solidifies", but not always. :)

    Update:
After further testing on "Solid Ground" It appears that the general weirdness associated with floaters is the problem. I tried testing on the surface of the same planet with the floaters and was able to routinely able to make connections work up to about 2K u. As stated earlier, the farther you go, the longer you have to stay on the base of the teleporter. It takes 10+ seconds for terrain generation to complete at 2K u.. Step off before that and it will get "interesting", like LSD tripping interesting.

I've tried using stone and alloy bases under the teleporter and they don't form before the terra firma, so no help.

So the mod still has to work around basic NMS physics. That's probably why the used the 200u limit.

    缩放功能是否禁用?我无法缩放大多数基本结构(地板、墙壁、设施和大多数机器)。
