I see that this is outdated and unmaintained, so I re-created it in a new place. My version includes .lua files for AMUMSS if you need to regenerate it later if I'm not maintaining it. No Teleporters

Why does this mod exist at all? People want immersion? Grueling, repetitive, grinding jumps? What the f@*& people? It's a video game,
IT'S NOT REAL. Look at all the other technology throughout the universe (in the *game*). So many things advanced beyond our understanding.... and you don't think teleportation existing is realistic? I mean come on, not only is it realistic, but it would be very common-place. Please return to your mom's basement, munch on your hotpocket, and drink your super gamer juice :)

@revenantt99  Not very hard to understand. Some people enjoy more challenge, some people like an easier experience. No need to lash out from some weird insecurity about that, nobody's putting you down for liking a more casual style.

Personally, after a few hours, I started to find NMS kinda boring because you're just insta warping, fetching, rinse and repeat. Removing fast travel, like a lot of exploration games, makes you slow down and smell the roses as you stumble across interesting stuff. You miss a lot by fast traveling constantly.

Remember, young grasshopper: sometimes the journey is more important than the destination. :)

i welcome any good reason for ship/freighter warping and using warp/dark warp cells. but this forces us to stay in one place of galaxy. my bases are 400,000 ly apart already. you should allow for some long distant traveling somehow.

Hi. I will see. But probably more difficult to set than just disabling teleporter.

Does this only work for new games? Also is it supposed to work in the latest game version? I tried loading this into my existing save (note this is my FIRST and ONLY mod) and got a crash to desktop error once I approached a teleporter near where I loaded my save in the space station. It said something about mod incompatibility, then crashed to desktop.

I do not feel like going through all the new-game stuff just to test if this mod works in a new save. :(

Edit: I have now looked into modding myself, and boy what I wrote here would be difficult to implement (although one could probably put the check for required items on the Teleporter activator, similar to red barrels and calling your ship to a landing pad).

I have only started NMS last Friday, and have only now first checked the Nexus for mods I might want because all the other gameplay mods just make things even easier. Yours is literally the only one that goes into the direction I was looking for - making it a little more difficult to jump from system to system. However, disabling teleporters altogether is a step too far for me, as I do appreciate "fast travel" in a game like this.

As I have not looked into modding NMS myself (yet?), do you know if it would be possible to attach resource costs and other conditions to teleporting and summoning ships? Examples:

    - Only ships with charged Hyperdrives can be summoned across systems.
    - Teleporting or summoning across systems costs 1 Warp Cell.
    - Teleporting or summoning within the same system depletes 10% of your Pulse Engine.
    - Summoning a ship always costs 1 Navigation Data.

This would make it so that there is some cost attached to the fast travel stuff, but it would still be possible. (And I'd have a use for all that Nav Data.) But I have no idea how complex the implementation of such a feature would be. If I learn more about the game and continue to enjoy it, I might look into modding it myself, but for now I am still at the very beginning (only seen 2 different systems and 4 planets in so far).
