I wish this mod will be updated in the future. It will be a nice survival experience.

HI..not sure if you are still maintaining this mod, but I would really like to try it, yet I suspect it is not working anymore. There have been a number of NMS updates since Nov, and NMS does not start for me at all with this mod and the Skip tutor mod installed.
    Thanks

Love game lengthening mods like these. Was wondering if you could make something else like that, that keeps you exploring by foot on planets longer? So that you don't just keep using your ship. I was thinking it'd be cool if there was an exovehicle that could dig through the ground, for example

Nice idea, is there a way you could make a version that alters the requirements to repair the ship? So maybe instead of one metal plate it takes 5? 200 pure ferrite instead of 50 etc?

      Hi.
Well, I can alter that. But if I do, it's not only for starter ship.

Nice... It'll add a lot of immersion, you've crashed hard on a planet, and you've got to survive until you get off the planet.

I'm still looking for a monster AI overhaul, to bring them up to be more like the Dino's in the game called Ark. Scary, dangerous, instead of irritating Kitten powered monsters.

I wouldn't mind a new start try, on Survival again. With your Hard Start mod, I can see a lot of pain... :)

I haven't tried Permadeth mode, I wouldn't want to lose everything on one bad move, but that would be realistic.

I've tried hard mode before, getting shot down in space is pretty bad. Especially on a toxic planet, if you don't have the right gear.
But if the creatures on the planet, had the same AI of a game I play called Ark. Then getting into space, would take a lot longer. On Ark, the fear is real, especially when caught out overnight.
I once came down, in the middle of jungle with no weapons. When my Dino I was flying, got killed. All I had was a re-usable parachute, and I was being hunted by everything. That is fear in a game, knowing death is around every corner, that is what I'd love to experience in No Mans Sky.

      No Mans Sky lacks.
      1. True darkness.
      2. Dark caves.
      3. A need for to use the Torch, you can't even turn it on in the Day, without mods.
      4. Nocturnal Predators.
      5. Animals AI is terrible, they run up to you, then stop and circle you. Their bite is like that of a Kitten, and they can hit you from an unrealistic distance.
      6. Food is currently worthless.
      7. Taming is an after-thought, currently.

I think Hello games should use their next update, to tweak Animal AI and hit distances. Along with adding true darkness, and nocturnal creatures. They should just copy Ark's AI, it has perfect predator AI. Except for constantly getting stuck in Trees, of course. A dinosaurs biggest predator in Ark, is the Tree...

I'll definitely be trying Hard Start though, when I eventually start No Mans Sky again... :)
