Any chance the Mod gets updated? Didn' t changed anything for me as for Expeditions 3.34. Would be great as i am struggling to find the infamous last one, which in my case is an underwater Creature.

This mod seems still to work, but it would be cool if you could look into the reported issues with flying creatures. Apart from this, it is amazing to have a mod that helps with finding every creature on a planet since it takes me sometimes two or more evenings with 3+ hours of playtime without and I do not like it, there is so much to explore, just randomly running around on a planet should not be a bottleneck.

In the time I used the mod, I saw zero flying creatures, but many on ground, that is the reason I am asking. Also, maybe it would be good to decrease a bit further the spawn distance, and maybe the density, as it appears me all what spawn distance does is increasing the distance you can see animals behind you, so, you will see a long trail of creatures behind you, but only a few in front of you, and with too high a density flying creatures seem to be left out.

Oh, I speak of options, people could test for themselves what works best in their opinion to keep the hassle of testing it thoroughly for you as low as possible.

Enjoy the mod but do have issues finding flying creatures, even common ones.
Did find all 7 land creatures but could not find flying.
Removed mod & there they were!
Have had this scenario a number of times, first time though I have removed the mod. Coincidence?
    Cheers

Second planet. Found all but the one flying creature.
Again removed mod and there they were.
Unfortunately there does appear to be an issue with this mod regarding flying creatures.

I just tested, and ... kind of? Animals do spawn farther away, and there are more when they do spawn. When they do spawn. The mod also greatly reduces the number of spawn points and spawn rates.

Hey man, SO I downloaded this mod, and installed it per instructions. I'm using the x10 one. However, I don't know if it is even working. when I play, I don't get the big green Paw prints as shown in the images. Also, when I land on a planet, all the creatures seem to materialize in a huge group in one direction from me, and not all around me. some birds almost never spawn because of the massive group of land animals. I sometimes have to kill entire herds to see any birds.

SO I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

GPU Specs are GTX 2080 for Laptop. I can play the game on nearly ultimate settings. But it doesn't help the spawn rate, or the Green Icons in your images.

I should have taken the snapshot without the other mod...the icon changes you see are actually from MOD#181 "Bigger Creature Icons" which is an older stand alone icon alteration. Far as I can tell it works with all others I have tested even though it was published over three years ago.

All this MOD does is increase the pack sizes and spawn density of what you do see on the screen, with whatever red/green tag mods you currently have.

After downloading this mod, I've seen a lot less flying types, to the point that I still have tons of planets I can't complete. I wonder if increasing the spawn range puts them out too far to be rendered at all? Some large flying stuff can normally be seen at 400-450u, so 5x that would be 2000u away which I think is further than the engine will handle.

They will still spawn, but I admit that increasing the spawn numbers makes it take a lot longer for things to spawn. Patience will assist, make a cup of coffee, get a beer from the fridge, whatever and things will spawn in time. Also, if you keep mobile, things will appear to spawn slower, but standing still for a while things a chance to spawn completely..

As a result of this, I tend to stick with the 10x version myself as the 100x version does indeed seemingly slow spawns down more, but the 100x still has it's uses for the farming aspect.

As far as spawning range is concerned. that depends on the power of your PC. 12 core 64GB with RTX 2070 ultra is fine at over 2000u, however a 6 core 16GB with GTX 1060 is... well... severely underpowered even at low graphics settings.

I've been patient, unless you mean stand in one spot for more than 15 minutes, at which point your mod doesn't actually help with one of its stated purposes, to assist with scanning everything. I've been using the 10x version from the start, but really I'd prefer a version that just increases the spawn range and activity level without increasing the herd sizes since the larger herds definitely slow down the variety of fauna that spawn.
